I had the dream of getting a model of the legendary ocean liner, S.S. Queen Elizabeth 2, since my 13th birthday. Now, 11 years later, I finally have one, thanks to the great people at Antics Online, a UK-based modeling shop. I contacted them about the model 2 years ago, and even though it wasn't in stock, we kept in contact until it was. They even agreed to place an order for me, and informed me once it was available. I ordered on September 9th of this year, and had no hopes for the Queen to arrive before my birthday on the 23rd, since the order was all the way from England, but she arrived on the 17th, very securely packaged and in perfect condition. The paint still felt quite fresh on the fingers, but that's because many of Antics Online's models are hand painted, which adds to their uniqueness and value. The lady I contacted about the model had been of excellent help in guiding me through the purchasing process, which was very easy. The model is extremely detailed, well painted, and just what I dreamt of! Some details from the aft upper decks of the real ship, such as pools and recreation areas, are missing on the model, but I can forgive that, because of how much detail went into the rest of it. The model also does not have the ship's name on neither bow or stern, but again, seeing as the model is about 20 cm (7.8 in) in length, it was too small to fit anyway.
With such amazing service and product quality, I just couldn't NOT leave them a Facebook review! Thank you, Antics Online, for making my decade-long dream come true.
Highly recommend Antics Online for anyone interested in modeling. They have both model kits and fully assembled models of ships, airplanes, cars, and other vehicles, at various prices.

Just started on n gauge model rail and I can not fault the assistance that I get from the store. Always use your local model shop and not always the Internet. Use it or loose it. A great place to shop

This is an excellent local chain of shops selling model trains, cars, Warhammer, and other similar items. The staff are friendly and well-informed, and they're very accommodating when it comes to sourcing items for you, holding stock, etc.

Excellent chain selling train sets, model vehicles of varying complexity, interesting stem toys, trading cards such as pokemon etc. They stock lots of interesting model toys, even for the casual visitor you will find this place fascinating as they sell collectible toys, as well as traditional train sets, models, planes, tracks, figures, cars etc.

This evening just after work I ran to the store in Bristol for 2 reasons, first and foremost a copy of Battletech £55, 6 blind boosters £6.99 each, but also to gather some supplies for my son?s rocket car challenge. Yes I was very close to closing time but as soon as I went in the old guy had a red face, the younger guy was fine. I asked a few questions explaining what it was for, then the old guys got more red faced and said ?I am running out of time to talk about this? scowled. This was a instants red flag to leave this store. Absolutely bloody rude. I tell you what Mr red faced Antics, your competitors and Amazon can have my cash, I am sure they appreciate customers spending money given the current economic climate. I have used this shop for years but never again.
