I visited on a Thursday in August so it was quite busy. I ordered a Ploughman's lunch and was told there was a 30 minute wait for food so I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived after only 20 minutes. The Ploughman's itself was excellent - no ham but a tasty sausage roll instead along with sweet pickle, pickled onions and gherkins and of course the obligatory slab of cheese with bread and butter. Very enjoyable ?????

Visited here for tea and scones. The tea room is in a great location and the building was quaint and inviting.
We oreded the cream tea for one and another drink (dirty latte, absolutely delicious) our only problem was the scone had not arrived by rhe time we had finished our drinks. We asked to cancel the scone as we no longer wanted it only to be met with attitude from the one staff member saying the scones are served warm its in the oven. We were not informed of this and had we been told we could have asked for our drinks tonarrive at the same time. Also while sitting enjoying the ambience of the tea room the same waitress (dark haired lady) brought something to another table and loudly announced 'I smelt it, it doesnt smell' this left us baffled and we spent the day wondering what it could be!? ?

Incredible tea and scones. Fantastic service. The Cream Tea was outstanding. They also have Gluten Free and Vegan options if needed. 10/10
