Booked a Friday night and enjoyed the surrounding pubs and returned for a meal and drinks lovely atmosphere with live music and food was amazing. Staff are very welcoming and breakfast the next day was perfect. Would really recommend this as parking at the rear of the property.

Myself & my wife had a lovely overnight stay at The Sheep on Sheep Street late Oct23. The room was spacious & well appointed. Staff were very friendly. We ate there in the evening & the atmosphere was great with Halloween themed staff outfits & lovely menu. Breakfast was also great. There are dog friendly rooms available, so we'll be back with our pooch in the spring.

Hotel staff are all helpful and friendly. Very central location at Stow-on-the-Wold. Can go everywhere within walking distance. The restaurant is very good. Good food with good variety of choices. Breakfast is delicious. Hotel room is cozy and have everything you need. Sound proof may be poor due to wooden floor. We were complained by the guest downstairs when we used the hair dryer at around 9 am in the morning after shower.

I travelled with an old friend and we get away together three or four times a year. We need comfortable single rooms, good food and pleasant service. We found all three at the Sheep on Sheep Street. Apart the pleasantness of Stow, the overwhelming feature was friendliness in reception, bar, restaurant etc. Also, to our surprise, it wasn?t a hugely expensive experience. We will definitely return.

Extremely disappointed in what we initially thought looked a nice hotel in the beautiful town of Stow On The Wold, Cotswolds. Photos do not show how tired this hotel really is, and it was soon clear that it is in desperate need of a facelift and update, in front of house, bedrooms and general restaurant/ lounge areas. Bedroom walls have scuff marks, limescale around the shower, the duvet cover was torn in the corner meaning duvet falling out, and I don?t think the underneath of the bed has been hoovered in a while. Photo attached of the inside of the bathroom cupboard. Needless to say we didn?t use it! Generally disappointed all round. The TV didn?t work either night we were there (much to our disappointment as we were planning 2 early nights of chilling with some catch up viewing) and even though we expressed our disappointment to the staff on both mornings, including the General Manager, we were told upon check-out that it was a ?one-off event? with the whole area having been affected. We were flatly refused a reduced rate for our inconvenience. On a plus side, the breakfasts were nice and service was swift and with a smile. The doors are kept open meaning there were flies on each occasion we ate in the restaurant which wasn?t great, but a pleasant enough room with a nice atmosphere on Saturday evening. I would recommend it for food if you?re looking for a meal with a relaxed atmosphere, but definitely Not as a hotel offering accommodation. You can book a much nicer, more modern and clean hotel for the same price in the same area.

Very friendly welcome, great room no.19 some are difficult to get to if you 85 carrying a heavy case. Great breakfast and well situated to explore the joys of Stow on the Wold. I have to type 200 characters to submit this review and really do not what to add to what I have already said

This place was amazing. Super clean and quaint. It is in the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold and the staff and amenities were awesome. Kilian was very nice and had a lovely conversation with us on his personal recommendations. We checked in late and they ensured the kitchen stay open for us so that we could have dinner. A real gem of a stay in the Cotswolds! Highly highly recommend!

False advertising - no wood fired pizza oven, it?s gas. Advertise famous wood fired pizzas. When you walk in you see the large pizza oven with gas burners clearly visible. Pizza tasted ok but due to very inattentive staff must have been lying around for a bit before bringing to our table as it was cold. Staff so I attentive (and the place was mostly empty of customers) that a single lady sitting next to us sat around 20 minutes and they didn?t even give her a menu. This is a chain pub serving chain food so probably not the best place on Stow by quite some way

My wife and I spent three nights here in mid-Sept 2023. It was everything we hoped for and more for our Cotswolds home base. The room was spacious and very inviting; these are our actual pictures. It was an easy walk to most everything in Stow-on-the-Wold, and though a bit small, having access to private parking behind the hotel (enter via Backwalls) cannot be overrated. The food and drinks were outstanding and all of the staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful, but in exactly the quietly available but not pushy way we prefer. Our only slight criticism, which might simply be different culture and us not quite getting the local customs down pat, was how long it took to get a bill and pay at the restaurant. This was not specific to the Sheep on Sheep as we experienced it from Yorkshire to the Cotswolds. We just started asking as we got the last service items, or walked to the bar/counter. One last note: the staircase is fairly tight and the ceiling has a few low spots. This top floor room was wonderful, but you have to be comfortable with walking up a couple of flights of old stairs and minding your head. With luggage it's a bit of a challenge, but it's also part of the charm. Just know that this room isn't accessible to all.
