The infrastructure appears to be tired with continual issues with heating and air conditioning. These issues need to be solved and not with a quick fix again and again. Staff are great and the place is busy but the texts with items not working are far too regular.

It?s a real shame that this gym has so many negative reviews, but it could be so much better . Nuffield is a charity , not many people know this , I think Covid has had a huge effect on this wellbeing Center.
I work for Nuffield so I don?t pay for a membership so I am very lucky . I do understand peoples frustrations towards the decline in standards of this wellbeing centre when paying a high membership price .
The most frustrating thing for me is the cafe closes extremely early and the opening times are not stated anywhere it?s not consistent at all shut a lot of the time at 2 pm on a weekend .
The soft play for kids needs urgent attention- either sort the damaged areas and clean or just remove it all together .
I hope in time improvements will be made all round . I know things do take time and cost money with having to use approved contractors and suppliers but things need to be looked at sooner rather than later.

Welcoming as soon as you enter, with lovely staff and clean facilities. Most of the time there will be more than enough machines for everyone to use. A couple machines have been broken for a while, and the water fountain pressure is quite weak, but other than that it?s been great so far!

I?ve been a member here since 2017 and sadly the gym has gone downhill. The air conditioning has always been inadequate and recently broke completely during a heatwave. It?s been weeks with no sign of a fix and it will likely take months.
In eight years there?s been almost no investment in new equipment apart from a few new lat pulldown bars while existing machines are often broken for long periods. The leg curl machine for example took two months to repair.
The hot tub was removed years ago to ?save costs? only to be reinstated recently when member numbers dropped, wasting money that could have gone to real improvements.
The showers regularly have no hot water including right now. Sadly this isn?t unusual.
The only positive is the staff who are always friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the facilities themselves don?t justify the membership fees and feel neglected. Serious improvement is required.

Went to enquire about gym and membership and was treated by Nuffield front desk staff as though I should be privileged to be allowed to enter the front doors - needless to say walked out shortly after entering and will not be signing up for a membership. Terrible customer service where new potential members are obviously not valued.

Great staff, always friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed and classes are good. I?m happy with my membership as I have a discount with health insurance but wouldn?t pay the usual rate due to showers breaking frequently

An overall good gym, but the WiFi is really poor. No signal with Vodafone and can't stream music on the WiFi. The Internet used to be better few months ago but suddenly many dead zones and blocks some apps etc..

The gym is ok but the swimming pool is not clean, you see people coming in with their shoes walking around the pool, the changing rooms are freezing cold. You spend a lot of money for not much really.

Really disappointed to have just found out that other Nuffield clubs have reopened their jacuzzis yet this one is still closed citing heating costs as the reason back in 2022. This was a company wide decision affecting ALL clubs. Well apparently not. We've had no discount on membership, in fact, fees have gone up. I also know that other clubs have had full refurbs of their facilities whilst this club has a list of repairs as long as my arm!!

Let me start by saying that my Nuffield PT is brilliant and deserves to work somewhere way better than this.But that aside, the gym is shabby, the showers are grim, the pool area is awful its overpriced compared to elsewhere and customer service is awful. I enquired about adding my husband to my membership but they clearly aren't interested in additional business so we'll be moving to somewhere that is better value for money with nicer staff (although I will miss my PT!)

Overall it's a lovely health centre but they should take more care of the pool area. Swimming caps are not compulsory, you can imagine the amount of hair in the water that is not particularly clean also because people use the steam room or sauna and then go straight in the water. Also screaming and jumping in the pool shouldn't be allowed but there is always a bunch of kids who do it.

I've been coming to this gym for years and it gets worse and worse, granted the gym and equipment is brilliant except 1 working water fountian that produces luke warm pond water. If you want to train at peak times then be prepared to train with groups of school children in there school uniform. The most disappointing part of the club is the changing rooms and pool area.... it is terrible.The hot tub is permanently off, showers are always broken and dirty, pool is freezing these facilities are in awful condition and issues need to be addressed as there are cheaper fitness clubs in the area.
