Visited this restaurant today with my wife to collect a pre-ordered takeaway dinner. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty, and we placed our order without delay. We were told it would take approximately 10?15 minutes to prepare. However, after waiting outside for over 45 minutes, we returned inside to check the status of our order, only to be told it was still being prepared.
To our shock, several customers who arrived after us had already been served. When we raised our concern, a person who appeared to be the chef stormed out aggressively, shouting that our chips were still cooking and it would take another 20 minutes. His tone was rude, confrontational, and completely unprofessional?not only towards us but also his own staff, whom he swore at publicly.
When we asked for a refund due to the unacceptable delay and behaviour, the chef threw the food onto the table, made a scene by swiping it off, and shouted at his staff again, ordering them to process the refund. The entire experience was deeply unsettling, especially as he was borderline threatening in his tone.
To make matters worse, when we brought this to the attention of the manager, Tony, we were simply offered a 10% discount?completely missing the point. This complaint was not about financial compensation, but about the appalling customer service, unprofessional conduct, and lack of basic courtesy shown by the staff.
If I could give zero stars, I would. I strongly advise avoiding this restaurant altogether. The way we were treated was unacceptable, and no customer should be spoken to or served in this manner.

I had a very disappointing experience at Ginger and Spice in Bradley Stoke, Bristol. We placed our order and waited patiently for almost an hour, only to be told our food still wasn?t ready. To make matters worse, we were the very first customers to place an order, yet we watched as at least 3?4 other customers, who ordered after us, received their food promptly and correctly. In that time, they also managed to fulfil multiple delivery orders?but completely missed ours.
When we asked the staff about the delay, we were met with rudeness and hostility. The owner, the chef, and other staff were all extremely unprofessional?shouting, yelling, and speaking to us in a very aggressive manner, despite it being their error.
Eventually, the owner offered a mere 10% discount and told us the food would be ready in another 20 minutes, which would?ve taken the total wait time well over an hour. At that point, we simply walked out?completely appalled by both the poor service and the shocking attitude of the staff.
Sadly, I wouldn?t recommend this place based on our experience. The lack of basic customer service and respect is unacceptable.
If I could give zero stuff, I would give the star!!

Delivery was on time and the food was good we had crispy duck, prawn chow mein, and mushroom fried rice, spring rolls as a starter. generous portions for us at least. Very nice.

Sorry guys, you were really lovely & friendly but not sure I've ever had worse than this ? chicken chowmein was so salty & over cooked I couldn't eat much of it.... I think the prawn toast was made yesterday, it was hard and dry, did my best but it was completely inedible...too fed up to try the spring roll ?

The teenager lad serving at the counter was friendly and polite. Even after the 5-10 minute journey home, and dishing up, the food was still hot. I only ordered crispy chilli beef and and egg fried rice for my first try but it was delicious ? I will be back to try other dishes.
