A lovely upmarket country Inn. Went for lunch, not really knowing what to expect, and the food was excellent.

Warm welcome allowed to have a drink in the bar and moved to our upstairs table at our leisure. Great atmosphere and service in the dining area, extensive menu and all 3 courses that our party of 3 had were really favoursome and welcome presented. Spend nearly 3 hours at the table service was well paced and we weren?t kept waiting or rushed. Overall one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time

The food was nice but a bit expensive. The service however was terrible. Very long wait for drinks. They strangely brought warm water for the table with warm glasses. Then had the cheek to tack a huge service charge on to the bill.

So happy we found this place. We had a lovely dinner, the food was outstanding and the service was amazing. Our server was incredibly attentive and friendly (didn?t catch his name unfortunately). Overall absolutely fantastic and we will definitely be returning!

The Crown at Ampney Brook was a lovely pub for Sunday Roast in the Cotswolds. The food was excellent, service was friendly, and the interior reminded me of a cozy, countryside cottage. The food wasn?t necessarily anything to write home about, but it was all very well done ? the beef roast being the stand out. And gluten free was marked on the regular menu, with a plethora of options! This place was also incredibly dog friendly ? there was a dog at every single table in our area of the restaurant, ranging from big to small.Dining here was well worth the 25-minute drive from where we were staying to enjoy a nice Sunday roast before heading back into the city, and I wouldn?t hesitate to return.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free is marked on the regular menu, and there are so many options! It was fun to be able to have a scotch egg, Sunday roast, grilled onion soup, and battered chicken pieces ? things that are quite rare to find gluten free.

Took advantage of 50% , yes fifty percent discount offer on Mains Menu on Wednesday eve. Excellent value! Although drinks remain 'over the top'. Offer it seems extended to 9th Feb.Suggest you arrive in good time of any booking as car park was completely full at 6.30 on Tuesday eve.Parking: Sometimes completely full. Just go back another day, or not.

Lovely setting.Although the food couldn't be more disappointing.I ordered 2 starters; the bang bang cauliflower which came to the table cold, alongside the hand rolled tortellini which came to the table cold and with a split sauce which was also incredibly acidic. The waiter seemed uninterested when I made him aware that the food wasn't satisfactory, so perhaps this is a common occurrence. Would not recommend which is a shame as the building, decor and location is fantastic.

Very nice place, lovely decor and setting (there are many different areas with different moods), including private rooms (where I was).Food was nice.I had Norfolk chicken with mushrooms, which was very nice. But is brought a piece of bread inside the plate, and the sauce (it was meant to be). It was really hard to cut, wish it hadn't been there. My 4 stars go because food took ages, and because we were a large group paying each their own, they would not accept the discount cost via de app as it was advertised. That was frustrating for all, incl the staff.Overall, nice food, nice place, I think I will go one more time to compare if it was a one off or not.One more comment: beware if you or your guests are not into a country pub decor, or are hardcore vegetarians, as there are stuffed animals, deer ornament and feathers chandeliers, etc. It is beautifully done, just a thought... (someone in our table commented that they could not bring their daughter for that reason).

A little odd this place but it was warm and cosy. The atmosphere just seems rigid. Pricey and that?s even with a
