We have been here several times now. Today was the best service but the three stars reflect on previous service, not today. Today,I would give David a 5 star! David was very helpful and attentive and provided us with table service. He checked on our table a few times to see if everything was ok. We were extremely hot! David spoke to the manager , who came over to explain the heating was off , air conditioning was on and he was trying his best to cool the establishment down. Our carvery tasted lovely. We ordered a standard size and it was a very good size plate. In fact, we ate far too much.We didn?t order a dessert as we were too full but David brought my daughter some cake for her birthday. However, the desserts are huge! And they have a large variety. We are always able to get a table at late notice. The children have a little section they can stretch their legs and escape from the table for a short time.We have always had to queue for our carvery but the queue goes down quite quickly. If you order from the app we have always had to remind staff about our drinks as they get left on the bar. This has happened the last three times we have visited. Previously we waited 45 minutes for our drinks. The young men serving the meat/ carvery are very hard working, working in hot temperatures, serving as fast as they possibly can ~ not stopping! It does get very busy here during Sunday lunch times as you?d expect. We always return here because the food is good and we can always get a table , last minute, for 8 of us.Thank you ,Parking: They provide electric hook up for my electric car .

I've never seen a place so full as today. We'd booked a table in advance thankfully. So many families and so many loud and excited kiddies but the staff were fantastic and coped really well. After a long queue for the Carvery I was not disappointed as it was lovely and worth the wait.

Went here for the carvery and it was absolutely amazing. I?m vegan and the roasted vegetable pie was absolutely amazing. The staff accommodated to my allergies and went through the whole menu to make sure I knew what I could and couldn?t have. Adele and Brandon w was amazing and helped me look through all the menu and double checked everything for me. Josh was amazing again with making sure i was alright woth everything. Best carvery I?ve had as a vegan highly recommend xxxVegetarian options: Roasted vegetable pieDietary restrictions: Dairy

They stopped serving food apart from carvery after 7:30pm on a Saturday. There was no notice saying or on their menus or on their app for ordering. We only found after we asked about soup and we were told they had stopped serving from the main menu. Maybe they were short staffed?Anyway as it was later than usual for when we would generally have a meal we didn't want to elsewhere and made the disastrous decision to have a carvery. The meat was mostly very dry and even the gravy couldn't save it. Some of the veg was hard (not en dante) and the Yorkshire pudding was challenging. The only saving grace was the potatoes which wasn't too bad.I wouldn't return here. There are plenty of options elsewhere.

Attended last night and was a little disappointed. There was only 1 chef on the carvery doing everything so there was a que while he restocked all the veg, the yourkshire puddings were more like pancakes and really tough.. apart from that the food was good. Ordered ice creams for the kids and a cake away for me, the kids ice cream came out fine after waiting 30 mins for the cake I went to the bar to get it to be told that the cake I ordered isn?t available, I asked the girl if anyone was going to tell me this or just keep me waiting and all she done was shrug her shoulders. As a customer was not impressed with her attitude. I will say the gentleman that seated us was lovely and very friendly

Turned up on a Sunday of a bank Holiday weekend, not booked as we were traveling home unexpectedly.Lovely food and great service.Staff were happy to find us a table.Only reason for not a four star. Kids eat free but it takes 72 hours for deal to come through. So we couldn't use. Which is disappointing not the pubs fault but the chain.Kid-friendliness: Good for kids

This is a typical chain pub connected to a Premier Inn. Chairs were all filthy, Carvery was below average, amazed that they did different plate sizes and the cheap one £5.50 was tiny. They had a menu but weren't serving it as they didn't have enough staff. We had booked but they hadn't told us so only the carvery was available. It was a big pub but quite empty with just few people dotted around. The only plus was the barman was nice and very apologetic about not being able to offer anything off the menu. Will never return.

Food was as expected. Edible and good selection. Good size portions. But did go off the carvery a little. When we seen a member of staff take something by hand from the veg selection, lick his fingers and then take some moreKid-friendliness: They have a good cheap menu for children with a good selectionParking: They have a large free carpark and disabled parking places, which a often taken up by able bodied peopleWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible, but not very wheelchair friendly inside

Fantastic food, fantastic service. You MUST try the cake from the cake cabinet, it's worth the trip alone!EDIT:We were so surprised when we walked in because it looks IDENTICAL to another Greene king carvery. We then learned they are purpose built like it, which is amazing as the system they have in place is much better than the leading competitor in carveries. In context to the other reviews, the way I see it is a carvery is always most cost effective than making a roast at home, think of the effort that goes in every day to make food on this scale, also because of how insistent veg can be at cooking, not every day will be a perfect experience. even though we went right at the end of the day, everything still tasted fresh and was delicious and hot. This carvery is also part of the Too Good To Go app so they are working towards reducing waste!Next time we are over in the Cribbs area we will most likely opt to come here again instead of the fast food joints in the area.

Big sign saying 'Enjoy locally brewed Ales'. Only beers available were GK IPA & Abbott. When questioned manager said 'local' meant up to 250 miles. No alcohol free wine (as advertised in menu) Tough roasties, stodgy stuffing. Don't come for the food or beer!
