The pub boasts a charming classic ambiance. The bar staff are warm and welcoming, and the culinary skills of Chef Pierre are outstanding. Having trained under Gordon Ramsay, his expertise is evident. I tried the Partridge, and it was not only delicious but also artfully plated. I'd endorse this pub wholeheartedly. Their Sunday feasts are unparalleled in the region.

Walked 7 miles for a nice beer only to be told the pub had just closed at 20:15 as they had no customers. You wont get customers if you're not open!

We stopped at the Black Horse Inn for lunch as we left Nibley festival. It?s a lovely old building (16th Century), we were given the warmest welcome and had a Sunday roast to die for!!!! Everything single thing was a taste sensation?. and bring your appetite? the portions are very generous!! Although we didn?t stay, they also have the most wonderful rooms which have recently been refurbished and just opened a lovely little shop in the pub with food and ice cream!

An excellent selection , well cooked and well presented. The bedrooms were very clean and had everything you needed ,including tea and coffee making facilities,. bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was excellent. We have stayed in 4 star rated hotels with less facilities. The couple running this establishment were charming and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area

We only popped in for one drink and sat in the beer garden at the back late Sunday afternoon. Service was quick, and the bar person was friendly and polite. Average price for 2 halfs of cider and 2 packets of crisps. The garden was tidy with some beautiful roses and flowers in bloom. The wood picnic benches and tables were clear and clean. A quiet sheltered garden area with water bowl for dogs. No childrens play equipment. We did not visit the toilets, so can't comment. Would definitely go again. Good location for walking as on Cotswolds Way national trail.Nearby activities: On the Cotswold Way national trail

Stayed here for a week long course near tortworth, and what an amazing place I stayed at during this time. Really lovely village pub vibe with a variety of locally sourced ales and the gusiness was top notch, food was perfectly cook and tasted fantastic with a wide variety of selection on the menu (shame I didn't manager to see the summer menu mind) and finally the rooms and stay was cosy, clean and kept the old inn features. Locals, landlord and landlady were a complete delight to talk to, really did make my week feel good and relaxed during my stay. Keep doing what you do beautiful people of North nibley, ciao ciao for nowRooms: Rooms are cosy and well kept with staff. They kept the decor to an old inn style, which in my honest opinion is a timeless decor ?Nearby activities: Such nearby activities include, hiking, dog walking, mountain biking and I believe I saw one or two glidersWalkability: No major shops are located in North Nibley but your not here for the shop let's be honest, your here for the nature and hikes and North Nibley is surrounded by such nature beautyFood & drinks: Food was delightfully cooked, fish pie was the die for, and the drinks were diverse and locally sourcedNoteworthy details: Spacious park for pub users near the pub.

No atmosphere there now with the new owners, no background music is played and have taken the pool table away, now like a old couples social club.
