We stayed overnight here as we had to attend a funeral in Cinderford. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and we chose from their Indian food range. Although I did not eat much of it, it was not because of the quality of the food, it was due to the sad circumstance of my Auntie's passing away. Shared a bottle of wine with my hubby (on top of what we had at the wake, lol) which took off the edge. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a good nights sleep. Had a nice unhurried breakfast before our long journey back to Plymouth.

Amazing food and friendly staff. They also sell Robinson's Flagan which was a lovely surprise as not many places do.

Decided to pop out to the Kilcot Inn this evening to try their Indian menu. The food was delicious, we had chicken tikka starter , lamb madras and chicken biryani as a main course. It's a really lovely country pub and the service is excellent . The landlord Baskar and his team are great I definitely recommend it.

Called in for lunch for the first time on a drive from llanelli as the place we had been to a few times previous ?. The Beauchamp arms in dymock ?. Had gone ? downhill ? somewhat. We ordered arancini bites and butter garlic mushrooms for starters both being very nice and both served with a side salad which strangely had mustard dressing on it?? Which I?ve never seen before. Mustard isn?t to the majority of people?s taste so why put it over salad is strange, and was mirrored in the salad with the burger main coarse, the burger being delicious. I Had the steak and ale pie, with seasonal veg and gravy. The tasted very nice as did the gravy but was an individual pie like you?d by in a chip shop??. I was hoping for a slice of homemade pie??..served with chips when I thought new potatoes should be the order of the day. Finally the seasonal veg was most disappointing, three small broccoli florets, two small sliced carrots, undercooked, about 15 peas covering s large mound of under cooked and very bitter leek so much do it was hard to get the bitter taste from my mouth which spoiled some of my meal. The issues listed resulted in only three stars for good. Please drop the mustard dressing, with the leek and carrots unless they can be cooked properly.

Cannot thank the staff here enough for all the hard work they put into my parents wedding anniversary. They were incredibly helpful sorting out table plans, providing tablecloths, no venue hire and we could decorate however we liked. The food was fantastic (massive portions!) and everyone left very happy. Thanks again :)
