We took our dog to snoops splash pool for a swim and came across this lovely pub on our way home so friendly and welcoming food is great freshly cooked this time we decided to book for a Sunday roast have to say it?s the best pub Sunday roast Iv ever had
My husband has a nut allergy and they were brilliant they checked his order and made sure noting contained nuts

A wonderful dog friendly pub serving fantastic food, we arrived about 20 mins after kitchen had closed but the chef said as he was still on site he would cook for us.
Very decent of him delicious beef lasagne and chips and a steak and kidney pie.. served piping hot..
Very grateful to be accommodated highly reccomended thanks to all the staff great job.

I had Scampi this time .plenty of them plus chips peas and mixed salad .after I had the Eton Mess ...oh my word I thought I'd died and gone to heaven ...?vanilla ..ice cream with pieces of meringue and fresh strawberry's .and fresh cream .topped with a spoon of Clotted cream ....The best ever ..??..

We stopped over here with our campervan. Lots of space to put the van on hard standing behind the pub, quiet. They let us use their hose to wash the dog down after she had waited in mud in the local park. We had some lovely food, from a massive range of choice on the menu. Free to stay, seemed only right to eat there. They let us come in in the morning to use their loos. Great!

Lovely pub with great selection of good quality food. Very welcoming and hospitable with a community atmosphere . On realising my wife and I had walked along a busy main road with no pavement to get there (not recommended) we were given a lift back to where we were staying! Would definitely go again if we were passing this neck of the woods.

Stayed here overnight in our campervan May 2025, food was delicious and good value. We had ploughman's and sweet & sour chicken. Newent is a lovely little town close to Ross-on-wye. Highly recommend, thank you King's Arms.
