Excellent pub serving great food. Only downside is it can get too busy! Has a small campsite onsite as well, ideal if you have a camper or motorhome for a stopover. Right on the river Thames!

£20 a night to camp in field behind the pub. Loo's available open all the time. Nice and clean. Can get easily into river Thames down a slip way. Nice pub garden as well. All dog friendly. Would defo stay again. Nice walks locally too into Lechlade village and countryside. Yes it's by road but wasn't an issue in the camping field.

A great traditional pub! Wonderful Sunday Roast lunch. Perfectly cooked, hot, generous portions, super home made Yorkshire puds, plenty of gravy.
Other pubs often disappoint by serving up reheated roast potatoes and veg.
Such a pleasant surprise to find a variety of home made desserts (If you have room!)
Friendly attentive staff and great atmosphere in bar where we ate. Dining room seating also.

This is my second review of The Trout Inn in a month, which is something I do not usually do, but praise is due for another great meal and I have no hesitation in saying the whole experience was a huge pleasure. Today we went for a celebratory lunch, having booked ahead for the restaurant. On arrival we found a long table of customers in the restaurant, enjoying themselves as they should, but we felt perhaps a little too noisy for our tastes. When I asked if it were possible to find a quiet table, the staff were immediately as helpful as could be and we were placed in the snug, which, in my opinion, was actually an upgrade. The snug is exactly that. A small room, very traditional with tall back benches, access to the bar and one dining table adjacent to a window. Decoration was genuine traditional English Inn and made the visit interesting. It was perfect for our quiet celebration. Again, praise due for the menu that was clearly marked for GF diners. We both had the Salmon, which was generous and perfectly cooked with a good salad and baby potatoes. Pudding were traditional and delicious.
I must also commend the management on the cleanliness of the Trout Inn. On both our visits we commented to each other that for a traditional pub, it is one of the best kept we have been to.
The staff were all lovely. Very friendly and attentive to our requests. Many thanks to everyone at the Trout Inn and also for kindly accepting delivery of some flowers for our table.
We are looking forward to our next visit and highly recommended this Thames side Inn.
