My view is jaded. I was hoping my husband had booked a country hotel for our 57th wedding anniversary, and what he had booked was a pub stay on a high street. Our welcome on arrival was less than warm. Call me old fashioned, but an offer of help with luggage to our room would have been welcome, up two flights of stairs, and on arrival we were greeted by a very small room. The only place to sit was on the bed. No information in the room at all re: meal times, and on going down to dinner we had to ask what was available to us for the voucher price with which our booking was made. Breakfast, it transpired was available between 7 and 9 am. Another half an hour would be good, as I don?t wish to set my alarm when on a weekend break. Any requests were dealt with it is fair to say, and the food was OK, but as a relaxing, indulgent celebratory weekend away , the experience fell far short.

A lovely location with a beautiful, characterful pub. Staff are friendly and helpful. Nice range of Ales and a good wine list. We had the beef & venison casserole and steak fries, followed by the Eton mess and chocolate brownie with ice cream & chocolate sauce. My casserole, brownie & ale were excellent. My wife said her frites were overdone & had a strange aniseed cough sweet tasting lump in her Eton mess, which was not pleasant. Hence, they dropped a star but otherwise excellent. We will be back in the future as it is a lovely pub.Parking can be a struggle as even on a Wednesday evening, the little car park 100 yards down the road was full. There is also free on street parking.

Disappointing food especially the burger. Service seemed to be somewhat resentful of custom.

Lovely place. Very friendly staff. The room was very clean and has character. I would not use the word ?dated? since the building is several hundred years old ?. Food great. I would recommend the White Hart Inn for food and accommodation. Will definitely be back.

For the price, the property is pretty decent - otherwise not the best. However, had two negatives:1. The hot water was slightly unreliable and kept shuttling between hot and cold and they weren't sure how to fix it;2. We mistakenly left a few items at the hotel and while we booked the courier and everything, had to make repeated requests and follow-ups to just request that someone may drop it off to a drop centre 15 minutes from there - basic customer servicing I feel.

One of our regular eating places. Baguette sandwiches are the best. Dog friendly.

Debris left in bathroom and used towel in bedroom left by previous occupant. Scruffy public area leading to bedroom, plaster flaking off walls.Noisy in the bedroom from the bar.NO PARKING. Nearest parking 100's of metres away.Meals OK but not memorable.Staff very good.Good location to explore other villages.Would never stay at the White Hart, Winchcombe ever again.

Stayed for one night, what a beautiful quirky building. The room was fantastic, with en suite. The guest rooms are in a separate building, right next door to the pub/ restaurant.Bed was very comfy and room had tea/coffee making facilities. Small tv in the corner. Breakfast is complimentary if you book directly with the Inn, or available at an additional if booked by a third party. We also had food, we did pre book the table as it gets busy in there. The food was amazing with gluten free options available.Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely place to visit and stay. Will definitely return for another stay, I highly recommend this lovely little place.
