A lovely lunch day out at The Royal Oak, the Winchcombe Pottery and the view for the Cotswolds with mum. A warm welcome, delicious menu and attentive service by a lovely smiling team.

Great playground for the kids.
Part of the pub has beautiful views over the landscape (this part probably gets booked out weeks in advance).
Lots of outdoor seating - perfect on a sunny day.

View from the conservatory was fantastic. Service fantastic. Some Food excellent but some of specials very average. White bait and Smoked salmon were excellent. But Kofta and couscous dry, roasted aubergine with chicken very good, but the chicken itself was bland and overcooked, and sweetcorn blinis had hardly any sweetcorn in. Beef-burgers were devoured by teenagers with us. Sticky toffee pudding very good and thanks for the birthday candles.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch - amongst the best I've had in a pub.
Fantastic location in the Cotswolds - beautiful.

The pub is in a lovely setting and there is a generous outdoor seating area. The food was mediocre, the whitebait starter was very nice but my main dish of plaice was mushy and had no taste, and my partner?s pork main tasted ok but was very dry. Aside from the male waiter, the remaining service staff weren?t particularly welcoming and when asked questions about the table / menu, it felt like an imposition. We left feeling like we were merely covers that had been processed.

We came in for our 2pm booking and it took good 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. Then they just pointed at a table for us to sit at. There was only one other table sat in the restaurant, and few tables outside.
We waited good 15-20 minutes before we got up and asked if we can order drinks.
Young lady came to us and apologised and asked for us to order our food as soon as possible as kitchen closing in the next 2 minutes. She did apologise that it was their mistake they did not come earlier.
We ordered drinks, my friend ordered a half pint of beer but got brought a pint.
It was such a shame because we have been here before.
Just seemed like there was nobody in charge.

Just as good as I expected. R ediscovered you recently after many years. Youare now one of my two country go tos. Well done all. Please don?t put on pecan pie and toffee sponge at the same time that would be too cruel!

Great location in the conservatory with wonderful country views. Relaxed atmosphere with courteous attentive staff. Stunningly good food - well worth the money. Looking forward to returning. Many thanks to the team.
