Karyn and Carl were brilliant. They got a water bowl for our dog and gave us excellent service with personality and care. Food ( and beer) were top class and the Inn has character and flair. We will definitely come again and the loyalty club Wednesday 25% off was a wonderful bonus

We had an excellent meal after my mother?s funeral on18th July. The Lion gave us a table in a quiet part of the restaurant and the people serving, including Karyn, were very discreet, helpful and friendly making us all feel relaxed and looked after in our time of grief. Thank you. The food was excellent too and all eight of us were served efficiently at the same time. Thank you.

Karyn served us an excellent breakfast today. She was very busy with residents but made us feel welcome and served us very quickly in spite of all she had to do. Karyn was very friendly and a pleasure to have serve us, also she was very helpful with getting the Butcombe Loyalty App. We shall definitely return!

Went to The Lion Inn for dinner on Monday. There is plenty of parking at the back which was only 1-2 pound till early morning next day. The outside seating area is very nice. We both had the sticky beef burger and shared the crayfish and prawn cocktail on a toasted crumpet for starter. The food was perfect. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcomed! Much appreciated our time at this pub!

We had a super evening meal . Myself & my family . We had a 9 year old with us a very fussy eater . Lucy our waitress went out of her way to help us choose the right meal from the Children?s menu .
The adults enjoyed their food too . Exceptional service beautiful atmosphere & really friendly staff

Friendly welcome, truly fabulous room.
Ate in the restaurant (booked ahead).
Sunday roast was excellent. Good selection of quality wines by the glass.

Closed the bar on a Saturday bank holiday weekend at 10:10pm. Saw the barmaid turn 4 groups of people away and tell them to go to the White Heart. Shocking.

The cost of drinks are extortionate, 1 cider & 1 white wine spritzer £19.50
Yet the food makes up for it. Just wish their prices for drinks would be a tad lower.
