It?s a budget hotel and it was absolutely fine for a stop over. Clean and tidy. Food was ok. No one bothered us

Arrived to find my pre-selected room wasn't ready so would be refunded the £3.50 paid and given another room which I trundled up to with my luggage only to find it was already occupied! Returned to reception, apologies given and a discount given for my room which I eventually checked into (still waiting for this discount though).
Rooms are nicely decorated, clean but very basic. Bed was king size but not that comfy with hard pillows which after 3 nights stay, left me with bad back and painful neck; note to self to bring own pillow. Tea/coffee provided but you get those horrid little plastic cups of artificial milk as no mini fridge in the room. Please give us the fridge.
TV is teeny tiny for the room, my desk monitor at home is bigger.
No bedside tables, some kind of hanging rack with 4 hangers on the wall. Sparce is the word.
Bathroom was nice but shower curtain meant water went everywhere so had to have the very long curtain actually in the shower with me; why no shower screen/door?
You only get 30minutes of free internet then you have to pay. Not cool and not acceptable, free wifi is a given these days and if you have to pay, then what they charge is extortionate.
Paid for breakfast each morning @£9.99 per day; The cooked version wasn't great with really cheap nasty sausages, soggy hash browns and what tasted and looked like powered eggs presented as scrambled which were hard and solid. You do get tomatoes, beans and bacon with it but its all left in plastic sweaty boxes under those hot lights waiting for the next victim.
Limited choice of generic cereals so tried the croissants which are advertised as being ?pastries from the bakery? not sure what bakery but these were bulk bought pre-packed shop bought tiny little things, not fresh in any way, more like little bread rolls than croissants.
The juice comes out a machine and is sweet and yucky and certainly not fresh. Hot drinks all out of a machine, nothing freshly made going on here even though the coffee is advertised as Lavazza which is a nice coffee but only if it?s freshly made, not out of a machine. Tried the fruit salad, but it was so mushy I just couldn't finish it even though I tried each piece of what tasted like tinned fruit that had been in the fridge too long. Don't waste your money here on the brekky, this Travelodge is right next to the Quays shopping centre which opens at 10am and you're just 10mins from the main shops where there are plenty of other places for breakfast, freshly cooked and for about the same price. Overall, whilst it did what I needed it to do at the time, I'm not sure I'd stay here again not unless they up their game especially considering they are a chain.

Last-minute business booking? wouldn?t return.
I booked into the Travelodge in Gloucester at the last minute for a business trip. On arrival, I discovered there?s no on-site parking, so had to use the adjacent multi-storey car park in the shopping centre. Not the end of the world, but lugging my bags through the car park into the lift lobby wasn?t ideal, especially as the signage pointed me to use the stairs instead of the lift (though I?ve since realised you can use the lift!).
Reception staff were polite and welcoming, and check-in was smooth. The room itself was very basic but clean. There?s no wardrobe, just a pole to hang your clothes. The room felt quite small and a bit cramped. The TV on the wall was absolutely tiny, my desk monitor at home is bigger! Watching anything on it felt more like a novelty than entertainment.
Now the internet? £3 to access it, and then an extra £1 per device? Really? And even after paying, I got a whopping 6Mbps. I?ve had faster post. Honestly, two plastic cups and a bit of wax string might?ve been more effective.
Breakfast was £9.99 and unfortunately not great. A buffet-style setup, but everything looked sad and damp from sitting under lids. The condensation had done the food no favours. I?d suggest skipping the hotel breakfast altogether and heading to McDonald?s instead.
Would I stay again? Sadly, no. The staff were decent, but the rest just didn?t hit the mark.

The area in which the hotel is situated is more of a retail park. But the surrounding area it's absolutely beautiful. The room was clean. My only issue is that allergen foods was not at all available. The hotel response was they laughed in my face. I had booked 2 course evening meal ,2x breakfast, i had contacted the hotel previous to the booking to discuss. No email was provided for a menu at all. You cannot phone the hotel directly. And even if you are able to be passed through to them, they will not pick up. Thank goodness restaurants nearby offer a variety of foods. Stay 04/08/25 to 06/08/25

Nice rooms with air-con .
Be warned....the car park is the multi storey next door with a 2.1 metre hight limit...roof box or van won't fit and other parking is limited and pricey

Great location, car parking is a bit awkward as very large multi story and you have to find out what lift brings you out next to Travel lodge but you do get a discount from £15 to £5 for stay. . Positioning is fab as very close to quays with lots of food and drink venues and a great waterside Wetherspoons

Helpful staff. Multi story car park next door .
Currently £5 for 24 hours (June 2025) with a voucher from the hotel.
Will definitely stay again

I have stayed here in the past I have been booked in since Friday it is now Wednesday I have requested a room service after the Sunday Monday and Tuesday and recieved nothing from the manager except that the rooms are serviced every 7 days pretty gross, however I did arrive back in my room to find two chairs dumped in the middle of the floor, and no service to the room I had to collect towels yesterday and the dirty towels are still on the floor, not the service I wanted or expected,
I did not pick any of the choices for how I would describe the hotel as none of them were applicable.
