No drawers and very little space to lay things down. Only one bed had a bedside table. We felt that there was a lack of overall management control. The staff were however very pleasant and the very central location means I would use it again.

This hotel is absolutely uninhabitable in hot weather. We could not stay in the Rooms as they were absolutely boiling and probably against all health and safety standards.
We had to relocate at midnight and pay for another hotel and they wouldn’t even offer a refund. Avoid at all costs!

Stay here if you love to wake up to the seagulls screaming all day and all night because the hotel team didn’t do anything prio to nesting season and now seagulls are going absolute banana on the roof. Renting apartments from them is no better. The only good thing is that they have a very nice people at the bar, always friendly.

Booked a room for a business trip first week in June. The location is very central and you're minutes away from the docks and the cathedral. The room was equipped with a small fridge, microwave, kettle and TV. I found the bed very comfortable and the place very quiet at all times. The bathroom is also good with a nice shower.

I stayed at New County Hotel from 18–22 May. During my stay, I parked in a car park that the hotel actively recommends to its guests. This car park sits directly alongside the hotel, shares a boundary fence with it, and can be accessed via a direct exit from the hotel.
On 20 May, my car was broken into and my laptop, clothing, shoes, keys and other personal belongings were stolen. When I reported the incident to reception, the immediate response was that it was not the hotel’s responsibility because they do not own the car park. While that may be technically correct, it completely misses the point. This is a car park they confidently recommend to their guests.
What is particularly concerning is that there appears to be no CCTV coverage of the car park or the direct access point between the hotel and the car park. To make matters worse, neither the police nor the local authority had CCTV coverage of the area, leaving virtually no prospect of identifying those responsible.
The most disappointing aspect of all was the complete lack of care shown afterwards. Despite remaining at the hotel for the rest of my stay, the manager never contacted me, never checked on my welfare, never asked if there was anything the hotel could do to help, and never followed up in any way.
I appreciate that the hotel cannot control criminal behaviour, but it can control how it responds when one of its guests becomes the victim of a serious crime after using facilities it recommends. In this case, the response was indifferent, dismissive and entirely lacking in empathy.
If security and guest welfare are important to you, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

Location is great and the staff who you check in with are helpful and friendly but the hotel itself leaves alot to be desired.
There doesn't seem to be any Aircon/heating elements in the rooms so on hot nights you are sweltering and on cold nights freezing. The bathrooms don't have any ventilation so all the steam from your shower pours into the room. Comfort wise its a two star hotel but can't fault location or helpfulness of staff so gave it 3 stars.
