Nice pub and a good atmosphere but the food lets it down. It?s low quality food at a high price. I would personally put the food at a Wetherspoons on the same level as this.

It's an ok pub which attracts the tourists, food appears to be ok but a little expensive.

Our group of 6 stopped here for lunch today after a walk around the beautiful lake and we all had delicious meals of Hunters chicken, Mediterranean tart, sausage and mash and ham ciabattas, all were very tasty and the chips were gorgeous. The two members of staff that served us were helpful and friendly. We'd recommend it.

Popped in on a busy Friday, shared a couple of starters, absolutely amazing quality, flavour and service, prawns and mussels cooked to perfection, warm sourdough bread. Lovely to be sat amongst the buzz of the village.

Been to this pub twice and on each occasion the server (the owner I think) came across as pretty grumpy
Other than that it's a nice country pub in a lovely location

Treated my nan to a lunch out. Didn't pre book, but it wasn't busy. The gentleman server could not have been any less interested in our group, though. It felt like we were an inconvenience to him. The food was lovely and really good value.

Room was quite small compared to the other rooms and didn't have the same facilities but we paid the same price, Bed was comfortable but the fridge was noisy which disturbed our sleep. It's in a lovely location with nice walks. It's a shame they don't do breakfast.

Been here a couple times on a pub ride with my horse and friends, everyone has been very welcoming and have never had any issues! The chips are great and nice selection of ciders, I?ve also been able to get some carrots from the kitchen for the horses when I?ve forgotten to bring them a treat! Very kind staff!
