after presenting my id, they asked for my friend?s ID even though they didn?t have one, after explaining that the energy drink wasn?t for them (as why would we be sharing the same drink) they refused to let me buy it despite having an ID ?

It's a nice clean store with a surprisingly wide range of products for it's size. My experience there was not bad. There was no crowd, so my shopping was seamless and I checked out quickly and easily.

We have been regular customers at this store, visiting 4-5 times per week for the past year, and the security staff are familiar with us as we live across the street. My partner, who is 30 years old, purchased a bottle of wine around 3 PM without being asked to present ID. Later the same day, both of us (my partner and I, aged 36) returned to purchase a second bottle, as we were about to visit friends.
However, the same employee?a young and seemingly inexperienced individual?requested identification from me. While I presented mine, my partner did not have hers, and they refused to complete the purchase. Despite the security staff confirming that we are regular customers and clearly of legal age, the employee still refused to proceed with the transaction.
This raises the question: how was my partner able to purchase wine earlier without being asked for ID? I am deeply disappointed by the inconsistency in the application of store policies and the lack of common sense displayed by the staff. It seems that the enforcement of rules is arbitrarily based on appearance rather than consistent standards.
As a result, I will no longer be returning to this store.

No stars after years of not letting anyone in shop without face coverings are now kicking out people wanting to protect themselves that's my right(for good reasons) not yours to take that away from me .especially since theres a current rise in covid cases .since when was it anyones right to say/tell anyone how to dress ...this is a democratic country were free speak and expression etc is legal .policy is not law(policey should be in line with laws) .wanting to protect ones self should not be taken away from anyone. When I explained to the lady in shop she dismissed and said rudely get out .I said fair enough and walked out .now I did not tell the lady that when covid stated I nearly died not 1 time but twice but if I did I would have got same response .

Lovely and attentive staff, always willing to offer assistance to customers and the stock availability is fantastic. Big shout out to Nishan the guard for also assisting for those who need help without asking, despite being an employee of an external security company.
I highly recommend this Tesco Express store for the personable staff and a big shout-out to the down to earth store manager, Siân.

Staff didn't remind me for ClubCard use. I remembered as I paid and she wouldn't put points on.

It's an okay store, just wish that the drivers who park on the cycle lane were a bit more considerete had a few near misses in the car by people not looking when pulling out.It also creates a hazard for cyclists who pull out onto the road, sometimes at the last minute to avoid the cars
