Checked in for three nights, but after two nights on an uncomfortable bed had to check out, reception referred us to Guest Services to deal with our complaint, even though web site states the reception staff can deal with refunds. After a lengthy call to GS the matter is in hand. The hotel is in a great location for the city, you can walk through the quays shopping centre right into the lovely doc area. There is some traffic noise as there is a big road junction next to it.The room only has air circulation and none opening windows so we found it a bit stuffy, also now you have to request room is made up rather than it being done each day as it used to be.

Usual Premier Inn room and to the standard expected. As ever staff helpful and courteous. Location excellent, Next to Gloucester Docks with all its shops and restaurants. Opposite Sainsburys, where you can get items for snacks, bottled water and milk for tea.

Let's get this this clear. This is a room with a set of vending machines for you on the ground floor. If you want anything else you have to cross a windswept car park to a Beefeater restaurant ( part of the same group) to get anything to eat and get your breakfast.Rooms are comfy well laid out and clean but only cleaned when you are staying more than one day if you ask for it. If as happened to me you have no wifi for your 2 day stay there is nobody in reception to help you

We arrived 20 minutes early and although the room was ready we were told we would have to pay £10 pounds to go in early. We went and had a drink and came back to finding there wS only 2 mugs and 2 tea bags in the room. So as there was three of us asked for another mug being told they would put one in. Coming back from a lovely catch up with friends, find no extra mug. Going and asking again the man on the night shift told us we couldn't have another mug and there was 4 people in the room. My daughter told them it was 3 but he wouldn't believe us or give us an extra mug. So my one and only visit to a premier Inn was spoilt and I wouldn't use again and would not advise others to use.

We are regular visitors to Gloucester and this was 1st time staying in Premier inn. Firstly we had no issues parking, we asked reception if we could check in early but was politely told to come back at 12 which we did and room was ready and clean.Staff are lovely and pleasant. We encountered no outside noise during our stay only a heavy footed guest above us.We had breakfast in the restaurant opposite amd it was lovely.Overall a great experience and we will return soon.

Standard Premier Inn, lovely location for the quays especially at Christmas. Quiet on the car park

Hotel is OK but woefully insufficient parking, which is unnecessary given that it's part of a relatively recent development at the quays and they could have planned better for more parking capacity. Instead, we were forced to pay £10 each night to park elsewhere. Don't advertise this hotel as having 'free parking' if you don't have enough spaces for your guests - it's misleading!!

Stayed one night only. Thank goodness. Paid for a Premier plus room on the top floor to ensure a good night's sleep during long drive down to Cornwall this October. Room was great until traffic noise could be heard distinctly and without cessation in the room. Eventually checked out the ' this window cannot be opened' to discover it can be and therein lay the problem. The window had been opened but not closed properly so no proper seal created. This was the route problem for the noise. Complained to night staff who basically told me that they were full and that the 'handyman' wasn't on duty until the next day. Returned to room to discover window was now permanently ajar...not great if you had kids on a 3rd floor. Returned to reception and stamped my feet a little, which resulted in another person coming out from behind the door. This person managed to find a cancellation which purely by luck was next door. What were the chances? Anyway, long story short the noise was no better as we were in the end room and the walls had little or no soundproofing. It didn't help that the hotel appears to be right next to a boy racers dream road so all night ,until 2am, had them screeching up and down the strip.Complained in the morning as was knackered...incidentally I'm blessed with being able to go to sleep anywhere and v quickly...so it must have been bad. Got free breakfast and emailed headoffice to get moneyback on their promise of guaranteeing a good night's sleep. Unfortunately to no avail. Apparently external noise isn't their issue!
