What a beautifully appointed house.Very modern,spotless and has everything you need ,for a great stay Two good pubs,serving great food,within walking distance.A couple of miles to Matlock We walked ,took about 40minutes.The house i s in a great position for getting to places of interest .Digital and booklet providing information,was great .Loved our stay

Had a recent stay here for 5 days and I have to say it was so nice and cosy. The underfloor heating was so nice to have, the dog thought he was in heaven. The whole house was spotless and well equipped. Nice area also with the Gate Inn down the road serving great food and drink. For en event closer walk there is the Tavern which is basically across the road. Jut have to mention the book explaining the house thats left for you to read, very impressed. Would definitely stay again.

Oakwood Lodge was the perfect place for our long weekend getaway! The house was modern yet cosy, bright, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was so nice to have all the amenities on hand, and the location was fantastic?just a short walk to explore the beautiful countryside and enjoy an amazing meal or drink at The Gate Inn. We couldn?t have asked for a better spot to relax and unwind with friends. Highly recommend!

We were travelling around the UK and Europe and wanted to experience a bit of the Peak District?Oakwood Lodge was the perfect choice! The house was modern yet cosy, ideal for our small group of friends getting together. The open plan kitchen and dining area was excellent for meals and catching up, and the location was fantastic with easy access to beautiful countryside walks, especially around Riber Castle. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay in the area!

We had another brilliant stay ? this time at Oakwood Lodge?s sister property, and it did not disappoint! Having previously stayed at the main house, it was great to see the same high standard of finish and attention to detail carried through. This smaller lodge is a perfect retreat for a small group of friends, with everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable break. It?s just a couple of minutes? walk from the larger house, so would be ideal to book both if you?re planning a getaway with a bigger group. A fantastic setup in a beautiful location!

We had a fantastic stay at Oakwood Lodge ? it strikes the perfect balance between super cosy and stylishly modern. The layout was ideal for our family, with great accessibility throughout and thoughtful touches that made it really easy with the kids. The surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful, with scenic walks right on the doorstep. The area itself is peaceful and welcoming, and we especially loved the nearby Gate Inn pub ? a real gem just up the road. Highly recommended for a relaxing and family-friendly break.
