Like some of the other comments said, some staff truly do act very unprofessionally. We went in 2nd April 2024 after lunch, we did not know dogs were no longer allowed in branch, rather than informing us which we would?ve gladly cooperated and one of us would?ve waited outside with our dog, a staff member (male, dark hair, glasses) who was sat at the desk behind the counters chose to lean towards his colleague and complained about the situation, then proceeded to tell my husband that if he wanted to walk the dog, ?walk it outside and not in here?. It wasn?t until we got to the counter that the nice lady gave us that information. She was wonderful hence the 2 stars.

In a week in which Nigel Farage was cancelled by Couts Bank, I queued patiently at the counter to be told I could NOT pay a few quid into my (15 year old) daughters account by a very rude and aggressive employee. She then went on to accuse me of money laundering! I offered her my driving licence as ID and my own Nationwide card. She was not only rude and accusatory, but also aggressive in her nature. I can only assume she was trained in her charm by the branch manager Tom who refused to give me his full name when complaining about his colleague, and after asking for his help, told me the only assistance he could offer me was helping me to CANCEL MY ACCOUNT !!! By far the worst banking experience I have ever had to endure. Thank you Nationwide!!!By the way, you need to put a little more EFFORT into training up you customer facing staff and branch managers. One star is one too many for your Gloucester branch staff and manager. An absolute shower.....

Pleased as punch today due to their quick and brilliantly efficient way of sorting out my cashcard that had been eaten by a Barclays cashpoint. No problems no hold ups just great service. Thanks guys sorry for the panic ???????????????

Worst bank I have ever been with, I lost a card so cancelled it and then they have blacklisted my new card so online payments need extra security and sometimes don't even work absolute nightmare cannot wait to switch banks

I thought one of the staff members was pretty rude a young dark hair women, and I was not happy the way she spoke to me! If I dont understand the question, don't talk down to me, its rude!! just say it clearer or a different way to help me. Other than that she did handle my requests well but could of been a bit politer instead of talk to me like she didn't care bit annoyed and demonstrates some bad customer serviceAnnd of course there is no response to this one, like I said awful customer service and I will be changing banks. Can't even deal with problems shake my head. Santander sound like they sort things nicely
