Lidl has always been my favourite supermarket, and I often recommend it to others. I especially love the bakery section ? it has my heart.
But my recent experience at the Cooney Hill Lidl (23/08) was very disappointing. While shopping, I noticed that the entire batch of Sweet Brioche in the Limited Offer section was expired. I informed the sales assistant, but this was already concerning.
Even worse, a few days later (26/08), I realised the milk I bought there was already expired when I purchased it (use-by date 20/08). Unfortunately, I had already consumed it with my cereal before noticing, which caused me an upset stomach and left me worried about possible food poisoning.
This was totally unacceptable.
I?ve always trusted Lidl for freshness and quality, but this experience has shaken that trust. Expired products should never be on the shelves. I truly hope the store improves its checks because I would love to continue shopping here with confidence.

Everything?s lidl plus now, £7 for a steak, you can?t just have a basket you have to have a big one on wheels, and now they make you scan the receipt you?ve just thrown away to leave the shop. The third reich used to have wet dreams about this stuff and we shouldn?t put up with it.

Good value for money, and most foods good quality except for "fresh" fruit and veg are always either already rotting on the shelf or are gone off before you even get it home
