We just returned from our 2nd break to this lovely hotel. Already looking to book again. Lovely room, and views. Food is 5 star . Staff are all fantastic, all staying years. Zac , Scarlett and all staff are so dedicated and clearly love their jobs. Can't wait to return again soon. Thank you

We had a gift of a afternoon tea given, and we chose Hatton Court Hotel, we must say what a wonderful experience, with lovely views, we had such a great welcome from the two ladies on duty we were treated like royalty nothing was too much trouble, the tea was excellent well done to all the staff, many thanks from Daphne and Brian Roles. Outstanding staff hospitality. Nothing was a problem for them. We can't thank Lucy enough for the way she took charge in looking after my husband. She is an asset to the hotel along with the Ops Manager. A perfectly delightful place to stay and wonderful food in the restaurant.

Service was excellent, really happy staff & lots of smiles on greeting & restaurant. Room?s are clean & adequate but the bathroom is in real need of updating, as is the noisy shower pumps that can be heard through out the hotel (We thought someone was drilling) ? rooms could be hot in the summer as no air con, but a fan is provided. Queen bed was comfortable for a nice nights sleep & the views are great around the hotel. A small walk to the restaurant. Overall we enjoyed our stay as part of a dinner included in a secret escapes package. We would come again for the outdoor bar & drinks only. Prices vs competition, lots to improve on.

The hotel and location was lovely. Friendly helpful staff. The hotel is situated up above the nearby valley so there is a good view down an across it from the outside patio area, loads of rabbits and birds to watch.
Bathroom a bit dated but in good working order. Amazing food in the restaurant fabulous breakfasts. Thank you we had a lovely weekend away! ?

Had afternoon tea here as part of a gift voucher. I phoned ahead and asked if they could provide a cake and candle for my grandsons 15th birthday. Not only the did the staff provide this but they brought it to the table whilst singing happy birthday. Afternoon tea was a delight and the staff were achingly polite and very helpful. It really made my grandson's day. Thank you.

First of all the views of the surrounding countryside are outstanding, the rooms seem clean and well maintained, I had a room in the annex which had been decorated to match the main house.
The food is good, slightly expensive, however the staff and service are excellent.
I had the squid to start, which was nice but generic, the fish special for main which shone through. The seabass was cooked perfectly, delicious, and was recommended by the server Valerica, an excellent choice. For pudding had the filo wrapped banana with salted caramel ice cream, which was delicious.
For the price the hotel and rooms seem fantastic value for money, the food at dinner was expensive but good and the service was excellent. Would recommend.

We had an excellent three days at Hatton Court Hotel. We had been before and stayed in a classic room.
The service and staff were excellent. Couldn't fault them. The location is perfect for exploring the area. The cream tea, breakfast and evening meals were very good and the food lovely.
The only downside was our room. We stayed in the annex which was very tired and awaiting a refurb. We had booked an executive room and we were given room 40. It was such a disappointment. It was identical in every way to the classic room we stayed in last time. The colour scheme and all the fixtures and fittings were very tired and had seen better days. The carpet was in need of a good clean and the room itself needed a thorough clean. We addressed the room at the reception as it was in no way executive by anyones standard.
Would we visit and stay at the Hatton Court Hotel again. Only if we can be confident we get the standard of room we paid for. Wishing you all the very best.

Restaurant meal and service was very good, staff were attentive and friendly.
Bar area lacked atmosphere, didn't have a warm feeling and no background music to set the mood.
Worst experience was the room. It was so tired and out dated. Shower was so short it was impossible to stand under. Towel rail was rusted and carpets extremely old and dirty.
Looking at other reviews, there are clearly some rooms that are perfect with get 5* but we were obviously given one of the worst rooms in the old wing (not main hotel).
So check carefully you when booking.
Rooms: Very out dated in the old wing, carpets are worst than student accommodation. Would expect better for such a lovely looking hotel.
Noteworthy details: Beautiful building in fantastic setting. Newly refurbished restaurant was lovely with great food.
