I stayed here for 2 nights with a friend in March, we were upgraded to a beautiful, large room! The spa was included in the price of our stay and excellent value for money. There's a great pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms. I would say it would have been more relaxing without kids splashing in the pool which was unexpected in a spa.We ate at the restaurant twice and had excellent service with good food. We'd love to come back, and would definitely recommend.

My husband purchased myself, mother and mother in law an evening dine and spa as a Mother?s Day present.Unfortunately our evening was anything but relaxing. The spa was overcrowded, loud and messy. All seating had been reserved with towels and after an hour and a half there was still nowhere to sit. After complaining to reception and informing them of unused seating, I was informed that it?s just because they were fully booked and members can turn up whenever they like. There was nothing they could do and were not willing to move towels from chairs ?just in case?.Various drinks were unavailable for dinner. To finish the night. We dressed to sit in the dining area. As I paid for the drinks I was asked how our spa was, to which I fed back how our evening had been with only the comment ?oh. I?ll pass it on?. Bearing in mind our spa session wasn?t due to finish until 9pm. At 8:30pm reception staff proceeded to hoover the seating and relaxation areas making it a very un-relaxing area to finish the night. Would not recommend

Lovely decor in the Hatherley Manor hotel. Delighted to find out you can just pop in for a drink in the main reception area where there are comfy chairs and a mini bar or to the restaurant for a bite to eat.

Did not stay at the hotel just used the spa facilities. Had 2 treatments on 2 different occasions with 2 different beauticians. One 25 minute facial and one 25 minute massage, cost of each £50.00. The facial lasted around 18 minutes and the massage was not much longer. Was very disappointed.

1 night stay, hotel was better than expected as some reviews mentioned the hotel needing renovations so we must have been put in a relatively newly renovated room as no issues at allSpa facilities was good, and breakfast was very nice - no cooked breakfast but a small selection of cooked foods available to order. The EV chargers advertised as being available did not work so I had to drive elsewhere to charge at an expensive rate so not impressed on that front.Overall it was a good spa hotel, good value for money.

It is a four star hotel that deserve a 5 star review. Awesome place to stay. The pool and spa is such a great experience. I will definitely come back here. The restaurant staff are the best and their food is awesome! Overall indeed a 5 star experience! Kudos to the management.

I stayed here for the 2 night spa break for a milestone birthday. The two spa treatments were great and I would return for these. The afternoon tea was nice and I'd be happy to have it again as part of a package. The rest of it was really disappointing - a room on night 1 with a bed so uncomfortable I had to sleep on top of the duvet and use the provided dressing gown as a blanket. The jacuzzi was luke warm on day 1 while the pool was fine, the pool was visibly emptier of water and very cold on day 2 while the jacuzzi was now fine. The fish I ordered for my birthday meal was so undercooked I had to return it to be cooked further (which I hate doing) and was then told by the waitress that the chef was a trainee. If that's the case, don't put a trainee chef on a Friday night dinner service if they don't know how to cook items on the menu, especially something as basic as piece of white fish. The receptionists were friendly and apologetic, they asked me to email them with this feedback and that they would get back to me, which I did and they didn't. So not a good experience all round.

Beautiful place, loved that there was a resident cat! Issues were that we were in a suite with twin beds and a sofa bed. The latter was very uncomfortable. The other issue was the food in the restaurant. My daughter had a vegan pie. The pastry was clearly uncooked and the filling stodgy and bland. We asked for it to be cooked correctly we had a replacement after the rest of the group had finished their meal. Other meals mediocre at best no

Spa Day experience:Very busy reception on arrival. Car park area dedicated for Spa visitors was packed so we had to park around the other side of the hotel premises. This all meant we ended up having to rush to book in and change clothes to get to our treatment. Not enough available lockers, so we had to use the ones in the main corridor instead of inside the female change area (which again meant either propping the door open with a bundled up towel to stop it closing on you [as the door to the reception was staff key card controlled]) or having to walk all th way around the pool area to get back into the female change area that way.Treatment: Daughter informs me she enjoyed her body and soul massage. I found the various skin treatments lovely for my facial. However, I found my massage element of my Elemis facial quite painful, despite having warned the therapist of an injured shoulder and permanent nerve damage from surgery. It is a shame that my daughter and I were not able to be in a treatment room together as I have done when at other Spa locations having treatments with my best friend. It made the experience somewhat isolating for me.Food:Opted for an afternoon tea for a small surcharge. Finger sandwiches nice, though some still had cheese on them despite having said no cheese. Scone with cream and jam was nice, but the cake selection was lacklustre if being honest.Facilities:Given a brief guided tour of the pool and changing room only by reception staff. Nothing else. The Spa was oversubscribed for the day (12 Jan afternoon). Whirlpool overcrowded and all day loungers by the pool reserved with towels so there was nowhere apart from in the Thermal Spa area (which I did not really want to be stuck in all afternoon). It felt like being on holiday with the pool loungers all reserved. Waited around in the room next door with the ice sink for what was around 30 minutes to see if the whirlpool came free. It didn't. Thank God for Wi-Fi so I could do something in that time, even if that meant answering emails on my phone. We finally got 20 mins in the pool at 4pm before calling it a day at 4.20pm, some 40 minutes ahead of the Spa session ending. Did never get to use the gym, primarily because we had not been told where it was nor how we could access it. We simply showered, got dressed and left.Staff:Staff were polite, but I think a lot of customer service detail was missing such as taking note of my shoulder injury when I'd said, not showing us the gym or telling us we could access it (and how), not giving us a full tour of the facilities (we stumbled upon the Thermal Spa rooms).Conclusion/Opinion:To be brutally honest, for the sum of £137.50 each for a four-hour stay, I would have expected much better facilities. All we got from today was our treatment, a mediocre afternoon tea, a 30 min wait on a tiled lounger in the ice room and a 20 min relax in the main swimming pool. That's not value for money to me.Some areas looked dirty and unkempt, too - dirty tile grouting, limescale around shower controls, and weathered/worn benching in the sauna. Too many at the Spa today meant we could not enjoy the facilities properly or fully. I've been to other Spa complexes with similar charge which have encompassed a longer stay, and with considerably bigger and better facilities. The valued part of the day was that I got to spend some time with my daughter. As for the Spa, I'm afraid I won't be returning and will take my custom elsewhere.

Went for afternoon tea. Staff were really friendly and helpful.I had requested a vegan option which was surprisingly good. choice of 3 sandwiches...red pepper pesto (i think!), chilli avacado, and cucumber plus a really good selection of cakes. The only downside was that the sandwiches had clearly been made for a while, so the bread had gone dry in parts.Would still recommend.
