I?ve always loved Balti King, and after a few years away from Gloucester, I was thrilled to return to find the same great quality. The Makhani and Peshwari curries were both excellent, with generous portions and a delicious fruity onion salad. Still as great as I remembered!

I'd I could give zero stars I would .
Food was awful , even the poppadoms were burnt , naans inedible , curry was vile . Don't waste your time or money . Rang to complain and got told we were lying , service as shocking as the food .
Avoid this place .

For anybody who hasn?t been to Balti King/Plantbase Co, you are missing out! They do the best vegan options, so many curries and sides, super flavourful, I?ve not had anything from them that?s less than delicious! It?s run by such wonderful people who greet you like an old friend (though I think I?ve been enough times now to be considered an old friend haha!) and are always up for a chat. This review is coming off the back of having another delicious takeaway from them last night, highly highly HIGHLY recommend!

These guys delivered to us in the Forest of Dean on a weekend away and it was brilliant! The food was delicious and service was excellent. Would definitely use again

I ordered my food and was told it would be delivered between 8:35 and 8:55. He was apparently waiting outside for 15 minutes, just eat said they was delivering my food but it didn?t say delivered, I never got a call even though I left my number only got a text 10 minutes after he was waiting, I told him I was round the corner and I would be 30 seconds he said okay I?ll time you, the cheek ? on top of it I showed him on my phone that it said it was still delivering my food apparently but I had it in my hands and it says 8:35 and it was 8:25 he turned around and said it can be delivered whenever, I then said why does it say on just eat between 8:35 and 8:55 ? Makes no sense. He said there?s no need to get defensive. Rude driver, don?t recommend at all. The food was alright but after spending 40 pound I would of liked some nice customer service instead I was made to run for my food round the corner and hurry because he was timing me even though he never knocked because he was no where near the door and he never called so dunno how he thought I would have known he was outside. I am also pretty sure he was the restaurant driver and if he was that makes it 100% more worse on him, as he mentioned he was working there over 25 years I dunno what that has to do with anything.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Chicken was pink, nann bread was stale. Spoke to them on the phone and they were incredibly unhelpful and refused to give me a refund.

Some of the best curry I?ve had, and very welcoming staff. I had the black pepper egg and chicken curry - can definitely recommend it!

The restaurant itself is dated but you didn't come here for the tablecloths. I had a vegan biriani and a saag aloo. My wife had chicken tikka masala and mushroom rice. We were both very happy with the food and service. We were the only ones in so I guess its more about deliveries than sit in dining. Very good food!
