I use Aldi a lot on the continent. But i've always found the u.k a lot more expensive & not as good quality. I used to go quite a lot but found myself going less & less. Have stuck to Tesco & Lidl.

Very helpful colleague at the self serve till at approx 5:10pm today. I didn?t catch his name but he was offering assistance to everyone. The colleagues on self serve are awesome.
Much better than the usual service on the trolley checkout where they don?t even say hello or goodbye and spend the whole time chatting to their colleagues over the headset!

Ah, the centre alise at aldi. What place to find a bargain you never knew you needed all sorts of treasures to be found at knockdown prices. My advice is don't go on payday you maybe seduced into that must have item, pay your mortgage or rent buy your food and pay your bills once everything is settled and you know how much you got to play with then and only then go down the bargains of aldi. Love it, really l don't go there very often as they don't have very much gluten and dairy free in the same product. Not being a fussy family with allergies.

I can no longer shop here myself as I am disabled and they never have staffed checkouts. My husband had to put a full trolley of shopping through the self checkouts last week. Really dreadful.

Their prices are the best value of all the supermarkets in my area but they have a limited stock so you can't get the "unusual" things. My major gripe with them is they only "staff" their checkouts if a lot of people want to use them. Instead they use an assistant to help people on the self service which I don't like using. They should use this assistant to be a permanent cashier at the tills. Once they serve you they are very efficient and fast ! Much quicker than all the other supermarkets.
