Went to this Pub after friends informed us the food was good. The food was great, Sunday roast meat was tender and vegetable was all fresh. My son had a burger which was cooked perfect! - Overall, a great meal and the service was just as good. worth a visit. The dog was welcome too.

Lovely warm welcome to this breathtakingly homely and beautiful pub. Spotlessly clean which an amazing atmosphere. Nipped in on a whim for lunch with our dog. The food menu was varied and deliciously temping with home cooked food. We had a baguette and jacket spud - both were filling and very moorish. Great sized portions of freshly prepared food. We did not leave hungry. The staff were so helpful and we felt that couldn?t do enough for us. We will be back. Xxx

We popped in for a drink on a bike trip. The (relatively new) manager was most welcoming and vivacious. Lovely garden with nice seating and great flowers. The menu looked great. If we were local we would definitely be supporting the team.

That?s a very cozy pub! The food is delicious! They have specialty Baltic menu - pea soup and crispy rye bread are simply the best! Owners are lovely and are there to make you experience memorable! You can also come with your dog - they have nice garden and snack! So the visit is a must!!

We have visited this pub over the last 4 months..
We were looking for a friendly, local pub, which, you will be hard to find nowadays.
Old school service, taking the time to learn your name, always helps with this.
We?ve had a few meals, and we?ve never been disappointed, want gourmet, go somewhere else, want a great tea time/lunch meal.
You will be looked after ??
We joined the pub quiz tonight, and we met lovely, local people who made it a great fun evening.
Thank you Monica, Vicky and your wonderful chef, daughter, whom I so sorry the name had escaped me!

I visited here multiple times during a 3-week stay in area. Most of the times I had only a drink but twice I had a meal. The new (as of Feb 2025 I think) proprietors, Monica and her daughter, are wonderful and kind people. They were a joy to spend time with. The crowd of regulars were nice and welcoming people. I enjoyed ?open mic? night, which happens on the last Thursday of the month.
The two meals I had were nice. I appreciated that they did up a homemade vegetarian burger when I requested one.
I hope they do well as they re-cultivate the pub, which I understand from the locals was struggling before Monica and her daughter took over. I can imagine there will be some hitches - for example, if a large group or two comes in unexpectedly - but they have the right spirit. I look forward to returning when I?m next in the area.

Whent with friends for quite lunch as we had herd the pub was under new management.
The menu was basic, a hole new one including easten European dishes ,is being rolled out we were told ,but what we had was very good pub food. The staff were amazing friendly and chatting.
If you can pop in and give the place a try.

Visited last year and the food was fabulous so decided to return with 16 family members. Oh dear, what a let down. The menu has completely changed to basic menu and it was awful. Even the children said the food was not good and every one of us were highly disappointed. Starters were hit and miss e.g. garlic cheese mushrooms actually all that had ordered them said, they could not taste any garlic at all. I had the pork snitzel, it was served with mash, peas and gravy, it was absolutely dreadful, wafer thin, fatty and over cooked, I couldn't eat it, few of my family tried a piece and said it was horrible, the meal was also totally bland. Most of the guests had fish and chips, said it was just ok but at £16.50, one would expect better, the snitzel was also £16.50 but was not worth £5. In all fairness the proprietor did remove the cost off the bill. Service was dreadful as well, we waited over an hour between courses. I did ask why they had changed the menu, to be told, they are new proprietor and could not have the previous menu as was not fresh!! Really? Well, I don't think breaded snitzel, battered fish, deep fried scampi etc etc are classed as fresh food, but rather comes out of a frozen bag! They do have a 5 star hygiene certificate but that in no way makes up for the poor menu and dreadfully cooked food. Hasten to add, non of us will be returning.

Had a delicious Sunday roast sat outside in the lovely sun. Great, welcoming service from a lady who said she?d just taken over the pub and this was their first ever Sunday lunch service! We thoroughly enjoyed. The beef was delicious, with plenty of veg, cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire, stuffing, roasties. Highly recommended and wish the wonderful lady a successful future at the White Hart Inn

Popped in today was going to eat here. It was freezing cold in the pub. My husband ordered a coffee. Soo surprised when a kettle was presented with a sachet coffeee. Was dirty floor not cleaned. Staff scrufffy not their fault. Didn?t seem professional

Stopped here for an evening meal , the food was average but this was offset by the exemplary service from the lady behind the bar and serving the food .
She simply could not do enough to make us feel welcome , even when we inconvenienced her by ordering more drinks and asking for the food items that were not present on the plate , she diligently responded to our requests, with a super smile on her face!! Keep up the awesome work
