Amazing food, two of our party said the ploughman?s was the best they?d had. The brisket croquettes were delicious as was the pork tenderloin. Can?t recommend it highly enough. The service was also second to none.

Absolutely amazing Sunday Roast, there was 5 of us and between we had the lamb, beef and chicken, everything was delicious and tasty and perfect cooked, so much veg and the nice thing was we didn?t have to order separate cauliflower cheese, we were well looked after , the service was perfect, we just about had room for dessert, freshly made ice cream, plus a gorgeous lemon posset, peach and apple crumble and a decadent Trillionaires tart, we will definitely be back and often

Visited for lunch. Ploughman's excellent and my mum's fish and chips was enormous. Excellent service and welcome at one of the best pubs around

I very much enjoyed the chef's nut roast 'carvery' meal, with a lovely choice of mixed vegetables. The facilities were clean, the staff were efficient, friendly and helpful and the prices reasonable. A lot of attention to detail has gone into the 'little things' (like unusual design of cutlery, an unusual 'in-house' way of folding the cutlery into the napkins, the range of sauces/condiments available, and there was sufficient space between tables).

Stopped by while out on a bike ride. Locals were super friendly and chatted to me and my son. We're also sorting out a guy who had fainted in the street nearby.

We waited for ages to be served, then waited for ages for our food. Beef was tough. There was hardly any pork on the plate.
