So, we rolled up to McDonald's late last night like a couple of exhausted, hungry heroes. The order was pretty ambitious: a double quarter pounder cheese meal, a banana milkshake, an apple pie, a McFlurry, chicken strips, and a plain double cheeseburger which came out with no seasoning. Yeah, you read that right?no seasoning. It looked like someone had punched the burger into submission, like it was a personal vendetta.
We asked for takeaway but, of course, they laid it out on a tray like they were trying to set up a fine dining experience. We begged for a bag so we could pack it ourselves, because that was going to be the highlight of the evening.
The McFlurry? I ordered Smarties, but somehow got caramel. I guess the universe was trying to tell me something. Took the food to the car, only to realise my burger was wrong. I got a single quarter pounder instead of the glorious double. Back inside I went for the burger swap, looking like a McDonald's detective on a mission.
And the fries? Oh, they were like old friends?stale and reheated, like they?d been sitting around long enough to develop a personality. It was a journey.

Please take my review and warning seriously for your own health. Twice this branch has given me stomach trouble - I'm talking about the kind where you need gallon of water, minerals and hydration tablets after.. There is something going on and I can't put my finger on it. There is a sour sharp taste in the cheese burgers - where if you got exactly same burger from another branch there is not. Something happening in the late shifts? Will get bottom of it via Trading Standards
