I just bought a heater from there and paid at the self checkout. They can see in the camera clearly that i paid for it and the receipt came out after making payment but in the way security young white boy stopped me saying he wants to make sure i paid for it he wants to see my receipt when i asked him why he replied his been told to do so look like he was about to attack me so i showed him my receipt then he said thats fine. I asked him do i look like a thief to you he said no then my question is why did he stop me? Make me think probably because i am asian ...I really find it embrassing because people were staring. I did not even get an apology from him for checking me for no reason, for wasting my time. So i decided to get refund for the item i bought from there, i returned it then i went to another shop and bought from there paid exactly the same way they also have security guard who did not do anything like Asda security has done. They need to grow up...

I don?t understand why this store has only 3.5 stars ? it?s well-stocked and has a great selection of products. Today, my partner found a Nolina, a potted plant she had been searching for everywhere, and she?s absolutely thrilled! A solid supermarket with good variety and convenient shopping.
Definitely deserves a higher rating!

ASDA - Added Service Diminishing Anxiety
I never thought the words *care* and *supermarket* would complement each other?I was wrong.
A few days after a major knee operation, I found myself struggling with crutches and facing the daunting task of restocking essentials. Alone, in pain, and anxious, I worried about how I would navigate the store and manage to carry even the bare minimum items like bread, milk, and eggs. As I grimaced my way from the car park to the store, an ASDA staff member in a yellow fluorescent jacket spotted me.
This compassionate individual, responsible for collecting food trolleys, immediately recognised my discomfort and my challenges ahead. They approached me with genuine concern and introduced themselves. They kindly offered me the use of an in-store mobility scooter, showing me how to operate it and ensuring that my crutches were safely looked after by security.
This act of kindness transformed my shopping experience from a perceived painful ordeal into an absolute pleasure. With the mobility scooter, I was able to shop for a week's worth of groceries safely and comfortably. The empathy and support shown by the ASDA staff member was nothing short of extraordinary, making me rethink what ASDA stands for: Added Service Diminishing Anxiety.
I have never experienced such exceptional customer care before. Thank you, ASDA, for turning a stressful situation into a profoundly positive and uplifting experience. Your staff's compassion and dedication have truly made a lasting impact on me.

Today, 14th October I went to Asda to get some stuff. Walking around the shop I noticed this offer of buy 2 chocolate chip cookie for 2£.
I thought it was a great offer and was happy about it, only to open the packages now and try to enjoy some cookies before bed and find that the cookies are hard, so I checked the date and it says it expires tomorrow.
I?m very disappointed with this purchase as I cannot enjoy my cookies, feel like I wasted my 2£ and have to throw it in the bin.
I?ve been to other Asda shops before where they had the exact same offer and whenever I purchased those 2 products the cookies were always soft and they expired in a few days, not the next day.

awful security guard a youngish lad , very bad attictude watched me pay and get served at the till then asks me for my receipt when i say i don't have it as i didn't ask for one and my partner paid he then asks to check my partners phone and tried to grab it but we just showed him the bank transaction very strange experience this was a few months ago now but decided to write the review now as when i go in he always intimidates me and make me feel awful ,
every single time i go there and he's working he makes me feel uncomfortable and clearly nothing i can do, it's always a horrible and unpleasant experience.

They make you kiss a woolen moth before you can enter. You then have to jump over a fallen deer onto a spongey necklace. Odd place

Hi, I wanted to flag up an issue with this ASDA store which is failing delivery app riders and their customers.
When I arrived at the pick up point to collect an Uber Eats grocery delivery, there were no staff present to attend to delivery workers. There was also no communication as to when or even if orders were being processed. As I waited 20 minutes for a staff member to appear, I saw several other delivery workers give up and leave. Eventually a seemingly irritable and apathetic ASDA staff member appeared, with only one order which wasn't for any of the waiting delivery workers. Of course, another delivery worker walked in and collected this order instantly, which was unfair on the others who had been waiting for a long time. After 10 more minutes of no communication or progress, I was unfortunately forced to cancel the Uber Eats delivery. Due to this unpaid waiting time, I missed out on multiple legitimate orders from other establishments which would have been fulfilled immediately.
This total lack of care and responsiveness from ASDA is exploiting poorly paid delivery workers, and frustrating their customers. ASDA customers are paying a premium for the convenience of a speedy grocery delivery without needing to book a timeslot, and are undoubtedly disappointed when ASDA repeatedly fails to provide this service.
I know that this falls short of the customer experience which ASDA strives to provide, and hope that they will assign more staff to efficiently process delivery app orders. I recommend that they hire additional staff if necessary, to ensure that they can provide a point of contact at the pick up point, who can coordinate the packing and handover process.
For now I will be avoiding delivery jobs from this ASDA, but I am happy to reconsider this if I get a response to this review detailing the improvements which will be made. Please provide an e-mail address if you wish to discuss this matter further, thanks.
