Friendly, professional service from optician, who provided eye care information that I hadn't heard before, and support staff. The only negative was the very cold store. I'm surprised Boots keep such good staff when they have to work in such an uncomfortable environment, it's also not a good experience for customers.

On 17 January 2024 I used your website and booked an eye test at the above location to take place on 25 January 2024.At 10:19 on 23 January 2024 I received a call from someone at the above Boots branch requesting that I confirm some additional information in preparation for my appointment. I advised that I was unable to go through the information there and then due to being at work and not having time, but welcomed a call back at a different time. I was surprised by their response which was along the lines of 'It's unlikely we'll be able to do that as we're busy'.In my view, as someone who has extensive experience working with the public, this response is completely unacceptable to someone who advised that they are unable to speak right now. Boots staff are not the only ones which are busy, hence why I couldn't continue with that call, and making comments like that is not achieving anything other than ensuring a poor customer service is received.Surprisingly, everyone was too busy, and I didn't receive another call to obtain the additional information between then and my appointment (2 days).I arrived for my appointment at the agreed time of 13:30 on 25 January 2024 and was informed that someone tried to call me to obtain further information. I stated that I had taken the call but informed them that I couldn't talk and asked them to call back, which they didn't. The assistant went on to try and defend this rather than understanding that I wasn't available to speak at that time, which I don't understand why this is so hard for everyone to comprehend.I have not used Boots Opticians for some time, and this experience has left me disappointed and frustrated. I can only presume that if I didn't answer the phone at that time (which I did, because I was expecting an urgent call), then the assistant would have called me back at another time.I am under no obligation to talk to Boots at the time that is convenient for them, I am the paying customer, and if I am not free to talk, then you should understand and ask me when is best to call back.

the staff were friendly and very helpful, also the optician was very attentive to detail and professional. I left feeling that my prescription would be perfect. I will return to collect my glasses on the 6th February confident they will be just right
