Really lovely cottage. Seems to have been recently refurbished to a very high standard. Would fully recommend to anyone. Plus, there is a nice little pub a five minute walk away ?

I have just spent the weekend in The Old Bakery cottage and I loved it! The cottage itself is beautiful and with everything you need, I especially lived the extra details in the bathroom. It's spacious, clean, has a great little sun trap on the patio and is enclosed for dogs. There's so many things to see and do all on the doorstep. Our hosts were great at communicating right from the booking being confirmed and gave us lots of tips and recommendations whilst we were there too. I would happily stay again!Rooms: Lovely and spaciousNearby activities: Go Ape, Symonds Yat Rock

Home from home for us, on to our fifth visit, we always stay here when visiting relatives in Gloucestershire, can't fault it. Comfortable, cosy and well furnished, lovely location, great walks and pub grub from the door.

I highly recommend staying at the house of bread. Communication was brilliant right from the start. Check in process is contactless and easy. First impressions were great. I couldn?t believe how clean the place was. My partner and I stayed at home cottage with our 2 dogs and we were all well catered for. The cottage has everything you would need for your stay. Katie and Charles have thought of everything, right down to little temporary dog tags in case your dogs get lost while walking. We also got the chance to book a beginners pottery course which was brilliant. Katie is a super chilled but very knowledgeable teacher. We would love to go back.

We loved our time at the House Of Bread. The hosts were friendly and easygoing, with excellent beagles, and our cottage had everything we needed for our stay. The local area is beautiful, with river and forest walks and plenty of pubs and restaurants. Thoroughly recommended.

This was ideally placed for our weekend trip with canoeing at Symond's Yat. The setting was lovely; the surrounding countryside created a sense of peace and seclusion, although there is a town and convenience store within easy walking distance. We tried a few traditional country pubs that are within very easy (within 2 minutes) to easy (15-20 minutes) walking distance. The terraced row of about four cottages are on one plot, with car parking space at the back, with covered, secure bike storage, as well as a cafe and pottery. The two-bedroom cottage we stayed in had a comfortable, cosy lounge, which made it feel like a home from home. There was a spacious shared bathroom with bath and shower. Both bedrooms had a good amount of space and very comfy beds. Though they faced out to the road, it was quiet. The style throughout was clean and modern, whilst retaining the cottages's charm. There was also a breakfast room and small kitchen, in the cottage. The hosts live on site and came in each morning at an agreed time to prepare and serve up a delicious cooked breakfast, with cereal, fruit, yoghurt, and preserves. They were very friendly and helpful with suggestions about the local area. We would definitely consider the House of Bread first if we were going to stay again in the area.
