A stunning hotel located in a beautiful town. Our room was comfy and very spacious with unique features. I would be inclined to revisit, but the staff weren't very friendly, which will likely make me book elsewhere in the future.

Very disappointed. Having travelled to enjoy a day exploring the area, had hoped to enjoy a nice lunch at The Fleece restaurant. Alass, was greeted by snobbery, rude, stand offish staff. For an empty restaurant. They'd rather you left, than god forbid offer you a nice table or welcoming service. Was stunned.

Lovely pub. Great beer choices. Ate for first time yesterday with family - food was ok. Portion sizes a bit small, but tasty.
Service was fantastic. Great time of staff willing to table service.

Didn't stay as we are local, but good service and lovely staff.

Nice room & view, comfortable beds, breakfast was very good although would have liked to see cereals, fruits & yogurts etc left out to help yourself. Very central location & food in the pub was very nice.
Overall a very pleasant stay & would return.
Walkability: Very central location

Shabby chic or just a bit too shabby...!!??
Staff couldn't be faulted whether bar / restaurant or accommodation front of house.
Food quite good, what was served matched the description - could have been tweaked to make it much better (eg less garlic in the risotto, maybe accompanied by garlic bread type thing instead?: mushroom crisp excellent).
Stayed with dogs, which we have before. £20 cleaning charge (really??). Given room 7 (AVOID!) - couldn't understand how to regulate the room temperature - in short you can't. No air con, no radiator - heating is underfloor heating at the behest of other guests' shower & heating requirements that pull hot water through the pipes underneath the room's floorboards. We're given an apparent 2 level upgrade that would have been £175 a night. Well, it wasn't shabby chic, just shabby.
It's the Cotswolds where everything is dipped in Farrow & Ball: we have lived in Cirencester and our house was like a F&B brochure; we liked it.
Anyway - back to the review: attached are some photos - you decide for yourself if it's acceptable for potentially £175 pn. Dog owners or indeed any potential guest - ill fitting eclectic furniture, marked walls & furniture, a scummy looking shower enclosure, damaged / dusty / aged room items - "quaint" doesn't quite cut-it.
We will eat here again, stay.... very unlikely!
Rooms: Shabby
Walkability: Excellent central location
Food and drinks: Not cheap but they deliver to expectation
Noteworthy details: Parking is a rare for central hotels but The Fleece has half dozen spots

I recently stayed at The Fleece in Cirencester, and while there were some highlights, there were also a few areas that need improvement. The location is lovely, and the food at the venue was great. However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of my room, as it was quite dusty. While I appreciated the overall stay and the room itself, the dustiness on certain items was not ideal. With some attention to cleanliness, this place could be outstanding!

Amazing food but slow service. Food so good it was worth the wait though!

This is the second time we've tried lunch here and been quite underwhelmed with the food and service. Last time our food took over an hour to come. This time we ordered pub classics and simple dishes so we wouldn't have to wait long. The service was slow as the pub was full and there weren't enough staff (it wasn't their fault). They got our order wrong and we had to wait for them to re cook one of our dishes but the food was very average and under seasoned. The burger buns were really thick and heavy and inedible so we left them. The menu seems to be gastropub inspired (as well as the prices) but what is served is very simple and a lot of pre made cheaper ingredients. We saw about fifteen people come in asking for a table but it was fully booked. Great kids menu. Won't be back sadly

Popped in yesterday afternoon to have something to eat with a friend the food I had was average nothing special similar to what you could get from somewhere like the weatherspoons service was quite slow and when I asked for the bill the waiter brought me over a receipt and and and didn't ask straight away if we wanted to pay with card or cash we had to wait another 8 minutes to come back over to ask us how we would like to pay then wait another two for him to bring over the card machine I said to him to round the Bill up but he mentioned that he had already put 10 % on top of the bill which I fort was a bit cheeky I didn't think the price we had to pay for the food of it's quality was worth just over 75 pounds that included the 10 % what was added on top of the bill I don't think they should be adding more money to the bill without customers permission first would I come again yes but I got my friend to pay next time

Called in for lunch which was tasty but disappointed to be served cooked frozen chips. I would prefer fresh chips for the price of the food.
