Just stumbled across this eatery whilst looking for somewhere to have breakfast after a drive from Bristol. What a stumble! Being a vegetarian, I opted for the vegetarian full breakfast, while my Wife had the traditional breakfast. More than enough on the plate, cooked to order, so pipping hot, plus free tea or coffee. The establishment was full, always a good indication of the standard of food served. Comprehensive good menu, clean tables not littered with the last persons dirty dishes, polite staff and a reasonable price. Keep up the good work it's a ? % from me.

Nice to sit outside and people watch, service was good and not to pricey they make a good cappuccino.

This is a lovely cafe, serving freshly made food. We are local to the area and this is our 'go to' cafe because the food is always fresh and so very tasty. Along with homemade soups and jacket potatoes, they do delicious toasted sandwiches with lots of different fillings to choose from. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming, I would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone who wants a very reasonably priced, delicious breakfast/lunch with great customer service.

Having had a pretty good lunch here previously, I had no issue visiting again. However, this time around the experience was far from a good one. Personally, I feel the menu is a little over-priced. The panini I had was quite tasty, but the food takes an overly long time to arrive. I ordered after 2pm so can?t have been part of the lunchtime rush. Unfortunately, the staff encountered on this occasion were quite rude and very dismissive. They seemed to be struggling to keep on top of things, although the café wasn?t particularly busy. I won?t be rushing back.

On one of our trips out again, this time another visit to the lovely Cotswold town of Cirencester......After parking the car in the short stay carpark we made the short walk into the town It was quite a cold day so we decided to get in the warm to have some hot drinks and a bite to eat, before looking around the town.......This time we went into Madeleines cafe which is the nearest one to the carpark.......It's a lovely little cafe offering a good selection of food from their menu I chose the cheese and ham panini the Mrs had her usual toasted tea cake with butter and strawberry jam, washed down with our lovely cups of tea.....The staff were all nice and welcoming delivering a good service as we didn't have to wait long for our orders.....It's an ideal little cafe to get your refreshments....?

Outdoor service was brilliant, we felt well looked after, and cared for, including the offer of water for our pooch, and our drinks, cutlery and condiments arriving promptly, and with a smile - hence overall three stars.
Then the heavens opened and the rain was bouncing off the pavement.
We hastily beat a retreat indoors, finding a table just as our toasted sandwiches were arriving...
Phew....
Only to be told, extremely abruptly, that dogs aren't allowed on the premises. Now I know rules are rules but, on occasions, one can add a little common sense, can't they... lots of places that serve food allow four legged creatures on site... and we'd ordered, and paid, in glorious sunshine.
Apparently common sense prevailing was not an option, on this occasion... which necessitated me standing in the open door on the door mat, with my pooch stood off the premises on the paving slabs, whilst I tried to eat my bacon and cheese toasty - which would have tasted better sat down at a table... and with a little less cheese.
So... if you have a four legged pooch in tow and you don't have Met Office confirmation that there will be no rain whilst you eat... you might want to consider a dog friendly venue (of which there are excellent ones within Cirencester).
For reference, my understanding is... The decision to allow dogs on site remains at the discretion of the proprietor. However, all food businesses would be expected to take the presence of dogs (or other animals) into account where it is pertinent to food safety... which allows common sense to prevail... I believe.

Enjoyed our lunch of a jacket potato and a baguette. There is inside and outside seating, we decided to sit outside as it was a warm day. Friendly staff and good value for money.

Would go somewhere else if you can staff aren't very nice won't be visiting again.Edit the manager wasn't very nice the other staff were nice.I paid for a cake and a drink it was a sandwich I brought from m&s while the three other members of the family had food and drinks all purchased.I wasn't thinking, and her point was valid but ultimately came down the way I was spoken to by the manager I disagree with how polite you were. By the reasoning I'm writing a review which isn't positive is a record of this experience.I feel it's only fair for me to say how visiting your company was for me that day. At one point the rest of family went off leaving me at the table and you cleared some of the items if I felt comfortable I would of brought more tea or another drink but all I wanted to do was leave it was an uncomfortable experience.

We started to come here after our usual coffee shop Costa wasn?t coming up to standards. Ever since we?ve been coming to Madeleines we have always enjoyed having food and drink here. The food comes out really quick and is always fresh and hot. Same with the drinks too always hot when they arrive. Every member of staff is incredibly friendly too even remembering what he have all the time. The owner is also wonderful and always says hello. If you are in Cirencester I would absolutely recommend coming here.

Service is fast and food is great quality.Coffee(at least the cappuccino) is good quality.Kid-friendliness: Staff made suggestions and brought my daughter straws and an extra kids plate for her to share from ours.

I popped in by chance as I was passing near to my work as I had been sent to Cirencester for a week. Excellent cafe, great value for money, nicely cooked food (coleslaw to die for) delightful and friendly staff.nothing was too much bother.lunch did indeed become a pleasure. I was encouraged to use a couple of times whilst at Cirencester . So impressed I have strongly recommended it to my colleagues when they get sent to Cirencester. I look forward to future visits.
