Like others, we stopped for fuel and a quick coffee break and we very surprised to receive a £100 fine. The most expensive petrol in the world! We did not see any notices saying it was a paying car park and this is most unusual at a filling station for a short stop. Not only that, we were in a hire car so had an admin fee from the hire car company and blotted our record with them. It looks like BP need to ensure their franchisee makes it much, much more obvious that you have to pay to fill-up at one in their filling stations, a prominent sign at the pumps and at the entrance. Frankly we were disgusted at what is clearly a private parking company making a lot of money from unsuspecting motorists filling from a BP station, and we are informed we have to pay virtually immediately to \\\"decrease\\\" the fine to £60.\\nEdit: Apparently service stations on A roads with official signage to them (like this one) are legally obliged to offer 2 hours free parking. Additionally there was no clear signage (which should be at the entrance and a Google search confirms this ), and apparently paying by phone is the only option. Having visited Euro car parks website who administer/extort this payment, apparently only 30 mins free parking is offered (we stopped for 40 mins). This ignores current legislation as no free parking is otherwise indicated. BP who franchise the petrol station have also said they will look into this.We also have not yet received the fine directly from the Euro car parks (even though the hire company have supplied our details to them) within the 14 days legal requirement, so if it comes, we will appeal on several grounds.

Be warned, stopped here for to fuel up and to take a driving break. Received fine for parking too long. Looking at the reviews it appears I am not the only one that this has happened to.\\nSeen the response from the owner giving the BP phone number out when replying back to reviews , when ringing this number them they said they have nothing really to do with this site apart from the logo and uniform etc as it's a franchise and shouldn't be giving out that number that you can see being used as a response.\\nWon't be returning back to this station.

We stopped there for a pit stop with our 1 and 2 year old for a quick toilet break and let them stretch their little legs. Today we received £100 fine for parking too long. So tiredness can kill but we will charge you for a short break on a crazy 9 hour journey from North Wales to Wimborne. Won't stop here again!

It is an ok service station but as i really dislike the money grabbing parking cameras they get a bit of a thumbs down, not that it will bother them. You get 30 mins free but if you don't pay for the anything more you get slammed with a £100 fine!!

It's a garage, it sold petrol which was quite cheap all things considered.
