Absolutely worst possible service. Received my meal 30 minutes after the other three members of my party, despite ordering simultaneously. Marginally passable Tikka Masala, soggy naan, and basmati rice in dry clumps. Did get my appetizer chicken wings for dessert. Surly bartender Shawn insisted that she took orders on between which delayed mine, but that was pure rubbish, as she was not present at the bar when orders were placed. She was extraordinarily rude, trying to justify the service with outright fabrications, with no apologies whatsoever. Was completely dismissive and gave zero respect.

Popped in on the off-chance they where open late on a Monday with an open mind as have had some bad fish in other restaurants.. We where greeted and served buy james who we could only describe as eye candy... When the food came out promptly may we add it was a feast for the eyes and short of putting flippers on and heading out to sea I doubt you'll find better fresher fish. Who ever is behind the kitchen at a guess could only be a magician of the dark culinary arts. If you leave a bad review you clearly must be drunk or have no taste in the finer things in life. Well done guys.

Every Thursday they do karaoke and normally have to wait 30-45 minutes to have your song played then you won?t get the microphone cause someone won?t give it up has happened every time I go (3 times) pretty disappointed after waiting almost an hour then staff won?t do anything won?t be going again

I was served by the wonderful Vicky!She had good knowledge of the menu, recommended the ham hawk mushy peas and they were amazing!She was attentive and friendly.Had a few beers to wash down the cod bites and peas, pint where fresh and delicious.Will be back!

A very nice place. They have the best fish and chips and very nice cocktails as well. This is going to be one of my favorite places to go in Cirencester.

I had read that this is the oldest pub in Cirencester and I make a point of visiting these in each place I visit. This one was fine, not sure at first as the guy behind the bar seemed to be here, there and everywhere but he was listening and he did serve what we wanted!! It is a bit like a Yate's bar, aimed at the more astute clientele who count the pennies but still want a good atmosphere, it suited us down to the ground and we popped in the next day for more of the same. I guess that sums it up, if you go in day after day it will be the same, but it will not let you down, nothing wrong with that in my book!!

Don?t do the bottomless lunch! Food delicious but the bottomless part is far from bottomless. Waited 25 mins for our first drink of Prosecco then only had two refills in an hour and a half. Waited over 20 mins with empty glasses on the table every time. Huge disappointment. Understaffed and badly run. Don?t waste your money

The staff were unfriendly never smiled. The music was loud....asked if it could be turned down a little for it to be only turned up LOUDER...gone right down in my my estimation ..ended up leaving along with other customers not happy with the loud music

Fabulous traditional pub iin the heart of Cirencester with great value pub food served to a very high quality. Friendly staff and owner make it a very busy pub popular with visitors and locals alike. Highly recommended
