It is a lovely setting, but it was very cold inside the restaurant.
When I ordered a latte with whole milk, I was told that they don't have any whole milk. Then we were told that they had run out of cups, meanwhile there were only two tables occupied in the restaurant, our table being one of them.
Two of my nieces said that their pasta dishes were bland and my sister said the same about her lasagne.
When it's came to paying, my niece informed the waitress that she had vouchers and the waitress rolled her eyes.
We had said at the beginning that we didn't want the optional service charge adding, but waitress added it anyway. The bill was so confusing that we didn't realise this had been added until afterwards. The waitress had shown some singular orders as a three course order and had lumped a number of orders that way, which made it difficult to work out individual bills.
It was a birthday celebration lunch for two of my nieces, so we could have done without these hassles.
We won't be going back, or recommending this restaurant. Very disappointing.

My husband and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary today at Zizzis at it was amazing. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was brilliant and the food was delicious. Our waiter, Tom, was so friendly and made sure we had everything needed/wanted. His reccomendations were spot on (the lemon drizzle martini was perfect) and he checked on us throughout our meal to ensure everything was OK. Rebecca, the manager, also makes the best cappuccinos! She must do it the proper Italian way, which is hugely appreciated!
We will definitly be returning and Zizzi's will now be our regular spot, thank you!

I?m a frequent visitor to Zizzi restaurants, this was my first time in Cheltenham zizzi and it was comfortably my worst experience at Zizzis. Firstly, though its novel being in an old church it was absolutely freezing inside,
We had a booking at 7pm we ordered pretty quickly and got our drinks and starters quite promptly. However it took the staff over 30 minutes to remove our plates after we finished our starters. We then waited a further 20 mins for our main course, I enquired to a waitress as to why our mains were taking so long she simply replied that everybody was waiting and that the kitchen was backed up without offering a reason as to why this was the case. I should add the restaurant was only 25% full, we also 2 couples sit down and then leave after speaking to one of the waitresses without ordering anything not sure why that was the case. The staff seemed to care about the takeaway orders more than the restaurant orders. Was not impressed, staff are very unprofessional.

The staff were very welcoming and looked after us brilliantly. We were a party of 22 and our food and drinks arrived promptly.
The service from the staff and Kate in particular was exceptional.

Brilliantly looked after by Maddie - thank you!
Kid-friendliness: Very children friendly. Relaxed atmosphere and lots of room. Had the opportunity to take the children to talk to the chef and watch him prepare food in the pizza oven. Colouring in and puzzles to complete while you wait. Maddie was very kind to our daughter and made sure that she had just the right amount of cheese on her pasta.

Food was good though one meal arrived a lot after the others by which time things had gone cold. Service was slow and not very friendly especially given how empty the place was when we arrived.
