I always go in this shop if I need something as they are so lovely. But yesterday I went in and wanted some fabric that was one colour. The lady that was in there started to show me where some fabrics were and she started to cut the piece I wanted. But a woman came in to talk about her boxes she was leaving in the back to the woman that I was speaking to at the till. And for about five minutes I was completely blanked by the lady at the till. I wasn?t acknowledged no one said I will serve this customer first and then I?ll be with you in a second. I felt very ignored and she said she?s going on holiday tomorrow (today) and to be honest I just thought she wanted to get it over and done with. I did just want to leave, I didn?t feel very comfortable and I thought I?ll just get it another time. But I?m just not that way inclined.Just to be clear I will be coming back to the shop because I think it?s great but maybe the lady should think about customers that she was originally serving first instead of making them wait awkwardly.

A lovely traditional haberdashery. It's a shame these types of shop have by and large had to close due to financial constraints. You can't beat a personalised shopping experience with helpful and knowledgeable staff.

This is a tiny shop but a little gem.. for those hard to find craft items.. I use it mainly for the wools patterns and buttons. You will not find high quality yarn here but great basic stock Ideal baby knitting always have a few baby garments knitted and on dispay in window.. A great range of buttons which are sold indivually. The staff are always friendly and even though the shop is tiny its always busy there are always two or three customers in the shop
