Prices were higher than expected but the quality of food did not disappoint and was worth every penny. Small plates were plenty for lunch and we didn?t need the extra chips. Quaint in size but a lovely place for lunch in the summer.

I honestly don?t know why the Saturday Barman doesn?t just hang a sign outside telling anyone who?s not local to keep walking, cycling or moving along so he doesn?t have to be interrupted from socialising in the garden with his local friends.
If you do enter don?t get any ideas of a warm welcome.
It?s as if this guy gets a kick out of being obnoxious.
Probably the worst customer service I?ve ever encountered. I?d recommend to anyone to just stroll on by.

PERFECT, we had the loveliest meal Last night at the Black Horse. Dog-friendly, excellent service, a huge portion of delicious food and great wine. Can't fault anything about this place. That is exactly what we were hoping for. Highly recommend

If you are planning to visit this pub as a cyclist I would recommend going somewhere else. The barman was outright rude, from the second we walked in there.

I popped in with a HF walking group, only to have a member of the bar staff rudely remind us not to eat food not bought at the pub. Everyone got a drink, but we felt very unwelcome. I enjoy supporting local pubs, but next time I might just walk pass.

Great lunch with the dogs, lovely staff and good food and good value. Great alcohol free selection too!
