I popped into Cheltenham Branch of Screwfix. I wanted to purchase a new chain for my chainsaw, I even took the chainsaw with me to identify the chain required.
Deputy Manager served me. I have to say she was very polite, but that was as far as her customer services began and ended!!
It seemed to me, that she didn't want to get her hands dirty or break her pretty polished nails!!

Went today to ask the pluming department their advice. Not only were they able to help me but sorted out the problem. Thank you Devon and Bev. 10 out of 10 for service. What stars!!

Rude....22-09-2024. I needed all the dehumidifiers they had for an emergency and when I asked if they had any in stock the rude female assistant said. "how do I know, check the tablet over there" I went to Toolstation and they were happy the help.

Rude, passive aggressive staff that wouldn?t accept cash as they decided to cash up 20 minutes before closing time so took my £80 order elsewhere. I?ve been using Screwfix for around 8 years but unfortunately it seems customer service is on the decline.
Luckily Toolstation was 2 minutes away. They had what I wanted for cheaper, and also happily took my cash with a smile. I will check there first next time.
Edit: emailed screwfix with more information as per their request. No response.

I have been going to screwfix cheltenham for years, but my recent project means I am there every week, sometimes twice a day, so I feel somewhat qualified to review this store.My experience has improved markedly in the last few months, Dom is always ready to assist and answer any questions i had, i have also observed him assisting customers with various things, even offering help with the checkout tablets (entering the order number).During my visits, I have been made aware of several offers, downloaded the screwfix app, took advantage of some limited deals etc ... all of which i wouldn't have known existed if Dom didn't mention it. of course there is the odd charity/event offers pushed by headoffice but that's to be expected.The PoS system is clearly complex as some staff do struggle with it, especially if one deviates from a straight forward purchase, here too i observed Dom assisting his staff with refunds, finding/matching customer + order details, re-routing orders that weren't available etc ...Good customer service can often be overlooked, but at Cheltenham Screwfix, it's a highlight. They deserve recognition for their efforts.

The little pot bellied bald goblin has the people skills of a house brick , bloke was cutting about the shop like some kind of dictator , I feel for those who have to work with him.Luckily the lady's on the till were lovley and very helpful and spoke to me like a human

The place is fine but when Max is working, the place is a shambles. He?s got to be the rudest person I?ve ever encountered. He was sacked from TS for being rude to customers also. Do better with who you hire.
