This is my favourite Chinese in Cheltenham (I've tried several). I like the seaweed, BBQ ribs and chicken balls. I always order delivery and they have never let me down. They deserve more than the 3.8 stars they currently have. I've ordered more than 20 times in the last 4 years so I have a good sample size for this review.

Disgusting food, inedible. Mushroom omelette looked like scrambled egg, and tasted only of soy sauce the chips were solid all the way through. Complained but staff were not at all helpful, told I could have a replacement but it would be exactly the same. Don't waste your money obviously the chef needs cooking lessons.

Pretty nice, would order from here again.Walked in to order and met by a very friendly lady who served me immediately. Food came really quickly and was a very good portion size. Had the chicken in black bean sauce and chicken chow mein dishes. Chunky veg and bits of chicken in both. Only reason it's not 5 stars is was a little bland, but as above size of portions, big bits of meat and veg keep the score high.Restaurant is not open to eat in, takeaway only which was ok for me but some may not realise.Will visit again if staying near by.

As someone else has said, only given one star due to lovely lady on till.! Yung chow special rice tasteless, house special mixed sweet and sour worst ever eaten . Pork tough and inedible, chewy tough chicken, the one prawn was ok. No longer a restaurant ( this is my third takeaway from here, getting worse each time) not pleasant at all! Inside place very off-putting as well, looks grubby, bikes inside etc

Only gave more than 1 star because the lady on the till was lovelySalt and pepper chips were literally fries with some chillis chucked underneathCurry and black bean sauces were stupidly hot, none of us could eat them, and egg fried rice's were awful like packet stuff, no flavour, visiting family so didn't know where to go, definitely won't touch again

Picture this... Valentines day, no dates, but 3 hungry boys, with ambitions of becoming pool world champions.They need fueling, desperately. A Chinese on the mind...In steps Happy Garden, a beacon of hope in these main characters story lines.Chicken...succulent.Rice...fluffy.Prawn crackers...on the house.What a night, our beds may not be full, but our tummies most definitely are.Do recommend to a friend or two, and to those reading this Google review.

Always order from Happy Garden via the website and not a delivery service. Today the extra prawn crackers I ordered for for my daughter?s birthday were missing. They were so helpful and apologetic when I called and they dropped 3 bags over to make up for the mistake. One very happy birthday girl. They also called to make sure we?d got them and we were happy. Can?t fault their customer service and their food is great too.

Thought I'd try something new, wish I hadn't. Ordered chicken fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls.Rice tasted like uncle bens microwave rice which I cant stand, it was slodgey in places and other mouthfuls were stuck together and burnt.. chicken balls were over cooked and burnt , and the sauce tasted like fruit jam. Really reluctant to eat it, and the worst I've ever had. Never put a bad review for food before , but won't be ordering again. Will stick to my usual . Not happy !

Happy garden is a great and lovely place for people to explore and taste Chinese food. The service there was excellent and they will greet you with a smile. My food that I would recommend is the famous chow Ming,it is noodles with spices and lot of thing in it. Another thing you should eat is the beef fried rice because it has great taste and the grilled beef is so tasty. You should go to happy garden.Vegetarian options: There is also chop suey which is full of vegetables
