Tried to close my account because I don?t use it and seemed pointless leaving it open.
I was told I needed a passport to close my account but I didn?t have one at the time, gave other proof and details but was told that it wasn?t possible unless I had a passport.
I was then told to put my card into the atm because the employee wanted me to prove it was my card. However, the atm took the card because it had been inactive because I hadn?t used it for a while?because ya know?the reason I tried to close it and went in the branch in the first place?
The clerk shrugged his shoulders and told me to phone them up and reactivate the card, then go back into the branch with a passport (again, didn?t have one at the time) and get them to close the account.
I understand if people having a temporary moment or having an off day?but this level of carelessness and stupidity was a brand new level in the game of life?

Remarkable transformation since they removed the barriers separating staff and customers. Amazingly friendly and extremely helpful. Was even offered a cup of tea during a recent visit. Ten out of ten!

Tried to phone for help with my account. I was told to call back during opening hoursCalled back during opening hours and the automated message said they cant take my call as all the lines are busy. Cut me off, didnt give me the option to hold. I cant call the branch to speak with anyone directly as they told me to go online. I find this very poor customer service. I need help and I cannot get it.

Good service but closing at 3 is a bit of a joke, should close at 5 or 6 so people who work can actually get there!

Why do you close so early on a week day? And barley open at weekends? I work full time during the week so can only come at a weekend but there's no time as I've got into town you have then closed. Its absolutely ridiculous and needs to be changed!!

Rude, impolite.Went to reactivate unused account. Met rude impolite staff. Also handed in found day before someone's debit card.. didn't even get 'thank you'. Viva! English Customs!

I would like to thank all the halifax Cheltenham branch for all their care and support on Monday 19th November, after i suffered a epileptic fit. All staff was so caring and professional. I really cant thank you enough. As a staff nurse myself, i certainly was in safe hands. Huge huge thanks to all that looked after me and sorry for creating the inconvienece!. The team was amazing. Excellent staff always friendly & helpful. Always clean & tidy. Only problem is there can be long queues altho not always & cash machines can be grubby. Since posting this review have noticed cash machines much cleaner.

tried for 3 days to call them. no answer, only call centre. They left messages and e mails . still no-one contacted me. Absolute rubbish branch..
