ever since the refurbishment, this place has definitely become more approachable! on the occasion I've been here the staff have been really grumpy, but honestly I sympathise - just something to look out for though I suppose

The food and service is fine, staff are friendly. My complaint is that it closes early very often, sometimes super early at 3pm due to "staff shortages" which i guess is understandable, but often at various times without warning earlier than the stated closing time. This might not seem a big deal to some people but when you work late in town and make a quick dash for a final coffee at 6:45pm knowing the closing time is 7pm only to find the store already closed its quite frustrating and wastes people precious work break.

Greggs is great for all kinds of snacks. And you always get good quality at a great price. Like today, I bought a 4 slice pizza box for £6.50 that is a bargain. Needless to say, it got devoured from the hungry clan at home.

Bad experience I have had, High Street McDonald's coffee machine was under the cleaning process, so thought of grabbing a hot chocolate from Gregg's since they have a variety of tasty patisseries.
Unfortunately, this hot chocolate tastes watery, with a smelly cup and had no aroma at all.
One of the guys did not even wnna serve me, I guess the Company should focus more on Employees and their work-life balance.
As an overall, I never recommend someone this place for a hot chocolate, if you wnna have a kickstart ahead in the morning.

Don't forget to always carry a large paper bag with you. It can be slipped over your head before entering or exiting Greggs in case someone recognises you. Yes! I am that snob! Food's sort of "any port in a storm, it fills a gap" type stuff but considering the price ? it's tasty(ish). Considering they're a Newcastle founded company, why don't they sell stottie cake?

Staff was amazing, friendly and quick.
Bought 2 sausages rolls and a water, Sausage rolls were cooked to perfection, battered was crisp but not crunchy and sausage was soft.
Shop was clean and tidy, could have done with more donut box variety (could have been due to me being there at 3.30pm though)

It was the cheapest cafe I visited in the UK, but the taste and facilities were not bad, so I was satisfied with the price. The Cheltenham branch was clean, while the Headington branch in Oxford was a bit dirty and cluttered.

Decent Greggs. Clean and everything in order. Fresh pizza and sausage rolls being pulled out of the oven always great to see.
