Sadly the visit was terrible from start to end. We were sat at a table that seemed to get ignored by all the staff. There was mess on the tables around and the service was slow to the point of rediculous. We ordered 2 meat carvery and 1 veggie option, plus two bowls of pigs in blankets. The pigs in blankets arrive after a short time and were unceremoniously dumped on the table. Then we waited, and waited until 20 minutes was up and I went to find a member of staff. At that point I was told that the veggie option was ready and we could go for the carvery. This was only after having to complain. We then ordered more drinks which took another 15 minutes to arrive. The food was dreadful. The veggie option was cold, the meat carvery was dry and the vegetables had clearly been there for hours and were also cold. And I mean cold, not just warm but colt to the point of room temperature. All in all, it couldn't have been much worse. Getting ignored, having to complain, getting ignored again and waiting endlessly for things to happen. The restaurant wasn't even busy, in fact I would say less than 25% of tables were occupied so how we could have got such bad service escapes me.

we found this Almondsbury m5 bristol junction here after we just finished visiting the concorde at Filton old airfield, which was brilliant to see all!!as it was Saturday two days before new years day. we both tried the 3 course Christmas menu, which was 18.50pds each a full Christmas carvery meal all!we both had a starter, I a prawn cocktail and my brother had the cheesy muchrooms, fore starters here, both were great!we both went for the prawn anh salmon small parcel with lots of carvery veg and both found we couldn't eat hardly much, so we took most home in a container cardboard small box here!we took our time before both going fro there profiteer rolls with ice cream and chocolate sauce, and honeycomb bits all! the quality of all the food served here and service was brillant, young staff very polite and great service here all!!one of the best Toby units, restaurants we have eves been too all, young mgr very polite all!we will definitely return to this Toby unit place at Bradley Stoke all again hopefully sometime soon!!N. hayward x2 Gloucester

Recently I avoided Toby but today I was invited to a work Xmas lunch and my opinion has changed, the carvery I had was delicious. The only downfall was the desert I had, the festive crumble wasn't very festive, it was just an apple and rhubarb crumble. I'm not a vegetarian or lactose intolerant but there were various food options for those who are.Parking: Register your car reg on arrival to avoid a parking charge.

Our table was ready but we waited a while before being served with drinks. The staff were very friendly and helpful but we're very busy. The carvery was excellent plenty of meat and the vegetable choice was amazing. We weren't rushed and left when we were ready. We couldn't manage our puddings we were so full but they were kindly packed up for us to take home.Parking: Easy to park

We booked our team Christmas meal here because we wanted something cheep and cheerful. We had a few drinks then went to our table at 7pm.We ordered our starters. It wasn?t very busy but they took ages to arrive. Eventually they came. The tomato soup came with a tiny piece of bread and tasted like pasta sauce. The prawn cocktail and garlic mushrooms were both good.Half of us went up for our carvery whilst the others watched the bags. This food was. Dry good. When the others went up they had run out of potatoes and were told 15 mins! 30 mins later some very anemic potato?s came out and they got their food. The gravy was cold and so was half the veg. Had to ask to have our plates cleared. At 9.30 The server came over and said ?I guess you don?t want dessert? but we did.Desserts came. Chocolate brownie was smothered in honeycomb and the crumble tasted like flour. When we asked for the manager we were told she was very busy in the office, but we told the server to get her. Manager was very apologetic and gave us 20% off.We went back to the bar for 1 last drink. As the only people there the barman still decided to empty the glass wash before serving us!Overall not greatly impressed with the poor food and terrible service from staff. The only saving grace was the talking and fun we had among ourselves.

The vegetables were plentiful although only luke warm. I had to wait for my vegetarian option (even though it had been pre ordered), but had I waited, the vegetables would have been stone cold.Vegetarian options: From The Christmas menu, the Spinach & Mushroom Pithivier was tasty and piping hot.Wheelchair accessibility: From the only available disabled parking spot, there were steps both going up and down, to get to the entrance! Hardly wheelchair or disable friendly ??

Impossible to contact before our booking. Food was mediocre, with unremarkable vegetables and passable meat. The service was rushed and surly. I very rarely use Toby Carvery, but it is quick and easy, especially with a large, mixed group.

Pretty run down from the outside, sticky tables, food trodden into carpets on the inside....service was a bit short and the lady who took us to our table was almost irritated...and although she wasn't directly rude she was brusk. The food was fine.

The staff were amazing, busy and caring the whole time I was there. Unfortunately the food wasn?t good. Just about warm, the potatoes felt tough and chewy. The roast beef was covered in sinew and gristle which should have been pre trimmed before making its way to the counter. The parsnips sprouts and gravy were good. I still have tummy ache from lunch 7 hours ago I?m sad to say.The exterior of the building is in need of repair and appears uninviting and tired. The beef needs proper pre service care as does the building. May return for breakfast one day.Swansea, Worcester and both Glos Tobys outdo this one as does Coldra Newport.Sad times. The staff do work hard and tried hard during my visit thanks to all of them.

Staff polite and helpful, the restaurant was clean to tidy . The food hot and well presented, all the food was very tasty being cooked to perfection. Plenty of veg choise , would have been nice to have some parsnips but you definitely won't go hungry. Al lRound we were very impressed. With a 50, percentOff voucher it was very affordable too. Well doneWill be coming again if more money off vouchersAre available.Parking: Never fail to find a space

We ordered a Takeaway mid week. 1 beef carvery roast 1Turkey roast. The meals we mixed with what was supposed to be BEEF included. 2 small pieces of BEEF FAT NOT MEAT!!!So no Beef at all. The Turkey though not requested for both meals was okay if a little cold. I have spoken with them someone was supposed to call back. But didn?t I tried to call . NO REPLY. Someone should know this is happening but not at customers expense. NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!!

Went for a carvery at 8pm. All packed away and wiping down the station.Staff looked at us waiting to be seated and walked off. We only knew they wouldn't seat us since my husband went to see if the carvery was even open. Its supposed to be open till 10 pm.

Overall a good meal.Very, very busy.Would be better if plates were kept warm before using. Not made clear about some foods were off limits for normal roast and only available for larger meals. Some of our party expressed the toughness in some of the slow roast meats, which shouldn't happen. One of the chefs serving started telling off two women that had glasses in their hands at the serving station. I can understand the problem but a sign or even a bit more customer care would work better than raising their voice.Unfortunately we were sat by the kitchen door that was very busy and had an extremely loud squeeky hinge that caused my mother-in-law to take our her hearing aid.Only minor problems 'apart from cold plates'.Overall food was good, especially given the amount of people to serve, and the staff were quick to respond to serving.

Food was nice but the place was a mess. Tables were left covered in dirty plates, bowls of sauces were empty and not re filled, empty glasses were left un cleard, the toilets weren't clean, a distinct lack of staff and poor management.
