I popped into La Reine when visiting my brother at the weekend. I went to purchase a cake but when asked about gluten free the woman who was the manager/owner said 'we dont cater for gluten free' fair enough I understand that. But being a type 1 diabetic and being hot weather I had drank alot of water and needed the loo. I politely asked if I could still use the loo. She replied no because ur not dining here. Well I would dine here but you dont cater for coeliacs, she then said she's a small business and doesnt have alot of room for customers. There was only 3 tables of 2 in there so not 'busy'. I then said I'm type 1 diabetic and you refusing me is actually discrimination. She then asked me to prove I was diabetic to which I had to show my pod and cgm. I then just got there down there on the left. Very rude and not very understanding. I think maybe the owner needs to realise not every disability is visible and she needs to work on her customer service skills.

What a gem of a coffee shop to find, food lovely, service excellent, clean. Just off from main Street, next door Christmas shop. Don't walk past La Reine coffee shop. ?

Apparently you can't use the bathroom if you don't sit in even if you buy something. Ridiculous.

Lovely Cakes , Reasonable Coffee, pleasant enough service from a staff member but arrogant and unfriendly owner (or manager) . Won?t be back. Am sure there are equally good cakes in the vicinity

Coffee was decent but the staff was really rude! Two of us came in, ordered one coffee and used the toilet. The lady at the bar was very inquisitive and told us the toilet was only for paying customers because they were fully booked, with a very negative attitude. The place was almost empty. I understand the frustration of the locals in such a touristy town but we were just getting a coffee and using the toilet. Not a very welcoming place and will made sure not to come here

Wow, wow wow, live locally and heard good things about this cafe. Oh my goodness we weren?t disappointed. Had a wonderful birthday brunch for my daughter, we sat in the lovely shaded garden and enjoyed 2 lovely lattes, Eggs Benedict and America Pancakes with Syrup & Streaky Bacon. Everything was home made and outstanding. Best cafe in Bourton and can?t want to come again. Thank you

A great breakfast, and the Best coffee in the village. Very clean, lovely garden area, but it's the owners that make it. Thank you

A great place to stop and have breakfast /lunch. Food was absolutely delicious and made with high quality ingredients. Furthermore, their strawberry and custard cake was one of the lightest, freshest and tastiest desserts I've ever had. Staff are courteous and welcoming. Would definitely come here again!

Food is okay, good cake selection. Between my own experience and observations - the staff are painfully rude and dismissive of everyone. We attempted to 'kill them with kindness' but continued to get sharp and short responses, no smile. And endlessly rude to new customers coming in. Surprised they are still open, won't be coming back.
