Delicious Milkshake!
I really enjoyed the Oreo milkshake I ordered from this place ? creamy, tasty, and just the right amount of sweetness. A great treat and definitely worth trying!

The place is very very cute and if you get by the view it will be sublime.
The food is decently priced and fresh the panini felt a bit dry but the cream tea platter was lovely!
The service very slow probably beacuse of the bank holiday weekend rush

We unfortunately had the same problem a few weeks ago ! Staff enjoying a good old chat and no professional customer service or advised there will be a long wait.....will not be visiting again.

Expect a long wait! We waited about 60 minutes for two kids cheese and ham sandwiches and a tuna pannini. I asked why such a long wait twice and was told there were lots of orders in front of us. About 5 ladies standing around chatting. Might need to invest in a couple more toastie machines and suggest having one or two of the staff outside making food rather than standing around.
Reply to owner's comments:
38 minutes is too long to wait for two kids sandwiches and a pannini. You may wish to invest in a couple more toastie makers. Just trying to make a helpful suggestion as I don't think anyone would expect to wait that long. Maybe for a full cooked meal but certainly not for a sandwich. Might also help manage expectations if you explain there is a 40 minute wait as we would turned around and gone elsewhere at that point!

Very dissatisfied with unfair treatment by staff at this cafe. Arrived at 10.30 and was given a breakfast menu. My husband, sister and i had coffee. We were seated upstairs. At 11.40 we tried to order a breakfast from the menu and were told we could not it was too late. In the hour we had been drinking coffee no member of staff had come to our table to ask if we wanted to order a breakfast. In fact no staff had spoken to us at all. The weirdest thing was that the two tables next to us were looking at breakfast menus, whilst we were being told we could NOT order a breakfast. I mentioned this and the staff member just said we were too late, even though we arrived at 10.30 before all the other people around us. She then left our table and took the BREAKFAST ORDERS from the two tables next to us, who had come into the cafe after us. There was only one person upstairs in the cafe when we arrived.
We couldn't believe this. I went downstairs to speak to the staff. I seriously thought there had been some misunderstanding. It was true, they would not allow us to order a breakfast, but the other tables next to us had not yet ordered and were then allowed to order breakfast. We felt confused, upset and singled out.
We sucked it up and ordered 2 paninins and a jacket pot. This took one hour to arrive!!
The whole think made us feel uncomfortable and horrible. What a way to treat customers. I still can't believe how badly we were treated. The cafe obviously feels it has more than enough custom with tourists, that staff do not have to worry about how customers feel. I think it is unlikely we will ever come back.
By the way i do not like being called 'my love' by a member of staff at the end of every sentence. i feel it is inappropriate, patronising and unprofessional..

What a delightful spot for a cream tea! The scones were absolutely scrumptious?fresh, warm, and with the perfect crumbly texture. Sitting upstairs is a must! The first table by the window, overlooking the serene canal, is pure magic. The view is stunning and adds such a special touch to the experience.
The service was fine, though it could have been a bit more friendly and less direct?nothing major, just a touch impersonal. But honestly, the charming setting more than made up for it! I had such a lovely time and would probably come back, especially to snag that dreamy upstairs table again. Highly recommend for a cozy, picturesque treat! ?

Lots of basic options for lunch - paninis, baguettes, jacket potatoes. Great option for kids with fruit, juice, chips included with sandwich. Prices felt reasonable. Very busy spot, but we were lucky to get a table upstairs.

Myself, my sister and brother in Law had been on a walk on the Footpaths around Bourton. We were looking for somewhere to have a hot drink and a light snack, and somewhere that allows dogs. Many places in Bourton were either full or did not allow dogs, or both. We had coffee, and some light snacks. The Coffee's and food arrived quickly and were good. Nothing to complain about here. Thanks.

Nice cafe. Had cream tea which the scone we ate didn?t taste completely fresh, hence a lower score. The toilets were also upstairs which is not good for disabled access and also we had a baby with us who needed changing. There were no changing facilities and we were advised to go across the street to public toilets. It?s 2024, there should be changing facilities for babies in cafes.

I live in the village and occasionally have a coffee while walking the dog, here they charge £3.25 for a coffee in a the smallest take away cup I have even seen and the coffee is not great either , I think I will stick to the Den in future
