Fantastic place to eat. A casual atmosphere but smart decor makes it a lovely place to be. I was surprised by how big the menu is. Burgers and the Pizzas are really tasty and very reasonably priced at the same time! Would really recommend to anyone thinking of visiting.

The Club Kitchen is clean, the staff are friendly and the menu offers plenty of choice. Great after a round of golf in the morning!

Currently under construction- the course
But no sign or advisory just take your £35, when complaining about this they can?t offer part refund as machine does not allow refunds.
No on sight management, premium price for a very poor quality of course.
I will take this further as this needs to be addressed, was going to join but definitely not now!

3rd time in a row where we have arrived and there are no golf balls at a range!! Was told they wouldn?t be going out to collect them again. Bearing in mind this was 18:45 and the range is meant to be open until 22:00, a complete waste of time on 3 occasions. There is mess everywhere, when they are available the golf balls look like they?ve been chewed by a dog. The limited staff that are there can?t be bothered to manage poor behaviour of others which ruin it for the majority of visitors. The place has really gone down hill in the last 12 months which is a real shame specifically given how central it is.

I have just been over to Lexden wood Golf Club with my 7 year old daughter to use the driving range. I usually use The Essex but thought I would give this a go. I am sorry to say what an awful place it is. The range balls were mainly cracked, had chunks out of them, some were so used they were nearly completely smooth and dirty. Having the Trackman was a great addition but completely useless with the quality of balls available. All of this being said the worst part of the whole experience was the range itself. They claim to be a place for families but the language being used on the range by groups was disgusting. They could clearly see there were young people around but they just didn't care. In my opinion this is not a place for families and I will not be returning. Even when we got into the car my daughter commented on how she didn't like it over there and the people didn't seem very nice. This may not be a common experience but unfortunately this time for me it has made me feel I shall not return. Just something management may want to think about and maybe try to be active in reducing the way people behave.

Not for vegetarians unless you?re fond of deep fried potato rolled up and labelled a ?sausage? for breakfast. Kitchen staff also very dismissive when asked - incredibly poor customer skills. Very disappointing this morning, won?t be coming back again.

Went for the adventure golf with my 3 year old as he loved dinosaurs and we had a blast. Was a little quicker then expected so decided to have lunch. Then it all took a turn. Apon entering the restaurant it was wonderfully air conditioned. Sat by the window. We were a little early for lunch so decided to have a drink first. 2 cokes and a j20. Coke was flat and got 3 bits of ice each in a hot glass. But whatever, I can live with that as was thirsty. I asked if we could order lunch now (11.45) ready for them to start cooking it at 12 when it started. Was told it was fine by the chef (who was working on the bar which was strange). Was told the oven just needed a little time to heat up. After I'd ordered I saw the digital thermometer said 85? so immediately I knew I'd made a mistake. Working with these ovens for the last 5 years I knew it'd be a minimum of 30-40 minutes before the stone was hot enough. But we weren't in a rush so decided we could wait. 40 minutes passed and still no pizza (bare in mind with a correctly temperature oven they should take 3 to 4 minutes to cook) so I went to ask how long they'd be. You lady asked the chef and we were told they're coming. Ham and pineapple and a pepperoni, easy right. Wrong. Ham and pineapple arrived. We were told the chef wasn't happy with the pepperoni so was making another. So we thought that's fine, it happens. Until we started to eat and the dough was raw. Cheese and toppings over cooked and the sauce was just tomato puree and very, very salty. Returned it immediately explaining why and was told they'd make another. Another 35 minutes passed with 3 tables and 3 members of staff having there meals cooked and served before I had to get up and ask again. Was told they were coming. Sat back down, 3 minutes later the pepperoni arrived. Again, straight away I could tell, cheese (which strangley I think was Cheddar) over cooked, greasy, crust burnt and dough only just cooked but still a soggy base. 3 year old was restless at this point so we had no choice. Then the Ham and pineapple arrived and it was the same story all over again. Apon receiving the final pizza we were asked if we'd like a drink to compensate which was something I suppose. I feel sorry for the poor girl on the bar. I think she wasn't old enough to serve alcohol so that's why the chef had to keep coming out and pouring pints. We were the only others in there eating for the best part of 40 minutes. Pizza was awful, tasted better from your local kebab house, the building in its entirety looks tired and in need of maintenance. I used to come a lot 5 or 6 years or so to play golf, but it's fallen a long, long way from the quality it used to possess. Needs some attention all round. Would recommend the adventure golf and the golf facilities as both were and look great. If only the same tlc was turned to TKC. Won't return to eat in a hurry.

I Have just finished having a meal at The Kitchen Club with family. The Carvery option was incredible. The vegetable soup was very tasty and full of flavour. Great starter. The meat option was perfect as we were asked "would you like some more meat?" That was a nice touch as there didnt seem to be any restrictions to the size of your portion. Pork, Turkey and Beef sourced from a local butchers. Dessert was great too

This is only the 2nd review so plenty of time to improve but it took over an hour to serve our food, 30 minutes to clean the table of the previous table, if you imagine a table divided by 6, he wiped the dirt of of one part, when I asked if they would clean the rest he cleaned 2 of 6, I wasn't going to ask again! However the place looks really nice and they were friendly (gave a free round of drinks for it taking soon long). It could have just been an unusually busy day. They have a kids menu too
