It was colder inside then outside.. at one point we could see our breath. I understand about financial crunch but if you have a little one it's not suitable condition.Rest of it weren't too shabby.

It looked dark and foreboding, the yellow and red facia looks tired and the lovely little quote on the front has been covered up... we didn't bother to go inside and would guess many others were put off too.An email to the Walton Pier to find out what is happening has only resulted in an automated response. This place has so many good memories for me from the 70s to the 90s, and even up to a few years ago it was somewhere we would head to on a daytrip. But as Walton has started to decline so to has its pier it appears which is really sad as it is destroying not just my memories but many other people's too...UPDATE:Well, as you can all see below the "owner" likes to think of the public as idiots... Well if we idiots stop going to his pier then I wonder which one of us is going to look more stupid, I mean - all those expensive arcade machines are not going to pay for themselves.Mr Owner - you might not agree with my review but at least be civil in your reply. You posting on a public site and your public might not like being called idiots...

Massive games arcade (played on a few) but free to walk through for access to the main pier, unfortunately a large part of the pier is closed off, probably cause of maintenance, as decking at that point looks old

Absolute dump. Millions spent apparently...on what? Dark, loads of rubbish gambling machines, wrecked pier out back and absolutely no charm. Awful place

Baltic! So cold. No heating. The soft play in particular is fairly small for the entrance fee of £7 and was freezing to play in and be in

The renovation has given the historical pier a new life. I miss the nostalgia of the old pier and would have liked to see some of that come through. The new amusements have strobe and neon lighting and it's very dark. This makes it quite uncomfortable to be in for long periods of times. That said, a water tight and renovated pier means the pier is to be enjoyed for future generations.

What you would expect from a pier amusement part. Lots of machines and games for all ages. Also has some rides towards the back again suitable for all ages.Staff running the rides were really helpful and made sure our little one trying the waltzers for the first time was okay ?

Wristbands have now gone up to £20 for any child over 120cm. In April this year they were £1 for over 120cm. There's only 5 rides and not all are manned. When I questioned they said it's because you get to go on the VR. For £2 more I could have taken my teenagers to Pleasurewood Hills which is theme park!Plastered around the site it says spend a day not a fortune. Well it's certainly no longer value for money. Even if I have nostalgic memories of his pier I will no longer be returning.

Certainly better than it used to be. It is now very lively and flashy but can be expensive if you spend a lot of time on the machines if you have kids so set a limit. The rides only take tokens or it's wristband access so if you buy tokens make sure you know your kids can or want to go on some of the rides or you will have tokens left over.

Beautiful place to come and sit by the beach, or walk along to pier.
