There were 6 of us at the table, 5 of us had the Cod, chips and peas. The fish was superb beautifully fresh with perfect batter which was light and crisp. The chunky chips looked really nice but were a bit soft and didn't taste as nice as they looked, hence only a 4. Service was great. Lovely waitresses and a lovely warm welcome from all the staff.

Absolutely wonderful establishment. Food selection was excellent and quality was first class. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the surroundings were extremely relaxing. If you are in the area this is a must visit for food-drink.

First time visit yesterday, birthday treat, wife and dog in tow. Lovely old style pub, locals friendly great atmosphere, dog friendly and the food is amazing. Choice was based on quality not quantity, staff attentitive couldn't find fault with any aspect, ribs were lush, hamburger lush, and the mixed fruit crumble to die for.....a word of warning don't wear a white top if you have the ribs....thank you Victory...

We walked in one weekday evening whilst staying at Frinton. We?d visited the pub some years ago with family. There were a few people in sat at a table, older generation and the music was blaring. We stood at the bar and could see the two bar staff at the bar. They saw us. We stood and waited, and waited, the music seemed to be getting louder, I was getting more stressed, partner was looking forward to a pint?..in the end we said sod it, let?s get the Chinese next door and a few cans from Tesco. No wonder pubs are closing. For locals only?Zero for atmosphere and service. Actually minus zero

Welcoming, clean and cared-for pub. Stopped by for a very nice ale following a recommendation. We were not here at lunch time but the food menu looked interesting. Looking forward to returning.

We did book but turned up a little earlier but allowed a table! Roast dinners were amazing and the Fish and chips also amazing.. Staff so friendly and service exceptional.. Thank for a wonderful meal and atmosphere x

Went for Christmas dinner last night as we do every year plus we visit throughout the year. Food was fantastic, drinks are always the best and the service was spot on. Booked table for 6pm and left at 11.45, what a lovely night we had, would highly recommend.
