“Store great. Park at your peril!!!
I really like this store. Very clean, and organised. Everything you could want really. However, I got a £60 parking fine through the post recently. A photo was enclosed. I had parked appropriately 1mm ON the beginning of the line of the car space. There was limited spaces and a tipper style truck was over to my left leaving no space. I didn’t get a ticket on my windshield and I noticed lots of other people in the same predicament. There is a 2 hr shopping window fair enough and I was 30 mins. Guess I didn’t really grab a bargain after all today. These people who run this are brutal and use the cameras to check any discrepancies however small. Also the pavement area outside all of the shops are very sloped and the trolley’s roll down. Very awkward if you’re disabled or have a Heavy trolley. Please be extra vigilant whilst parking and double check the (extremely high placed) signs if you can find one!”

“5 Stars – Amazing value and surprisingly great quality!
Lidl has completely changed the way I shop for groceries — and in the best possible way. At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but after several visits, I can confidently say this is one of the best supermarkets out there when it comes to value, efficiency, and selection.

The prices are unbeatable. You can fill an entire trolley and still pay far less than you would at other major supermarkets. It’s the perfect place for anyone trying to save money without sacrificing quality. I especially love their own-brand products, which often taste just as good (if not better) than the big-name brands — from baked goods to snacks, dairy, and frozen meals.

The fresh produce section is always stocked with a solid variety of fruits and vegetables, and I’ve always found them to be fresh and long-lasting. Their bakery is also worth mentioning — fresh bread, pastries, and croissants that rival any local bakery, and for a fraction of the price.

Another big highlight is the Middle of Lidl aisle — full of quirky, seasonal, or limited-time products, from home goods and garden tools to clothing and electronics. You never know what you’ll find, and it makes every visit kind of fun.

Staff are friendly and efficient — they keep the lines moving and are always helpful if you need anything. The stores are usually clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate.

In short, Lidl delivers exactly what a great supermarket should: quality, simplicity, and value. It’s now my go-to place for weekly shopping. Highly recommended!”

“Regularly pop in their on my way to work. Used to shop in the co-op in Buntingford. Had built up £25.00 of co-op members points so I went in and used them to buy a few bits to use up most of the balance. They always have offers. Allowing you a discount on two products. Download the app, get a members card and make the most of it”

“Having a partner take you home to meet the family is a big moment isn’t it? It’s considered an important moment in a relationship. Not only do you want them to like you but you also want you to like them. Can I see myself spending a Christmas with your mum? Would I want to marry you if I knew your dad would give a speech at our wedding? Will I be able to be myself around these people? But here I found myself, in this big Tesco with Newt’s mum, dad, and sister. We drove all the way to the big Tesco because I love a big Tesco so much. It’s huge. 33 isles! The security guard told me off for lingering at the entrance in awe. So many people go to this Tesco every day and don’t take any time to admire how wonderful it is. How this Tesco feeds so many people. How this Tesco stocks so many thousands of different products. How this Tesco meets so many needs for so many people. How exciting it is to take a moment to marvel at mundanity.I know I’m unusual, I know I’m not everyone’s taste. I know lots of people just wouldn’t get me, but Newt’s family seems to. I bought a Tesco value hoodie for myself and some oat milk for the food bank.”
